Set on the outskirts of sleepy Luché-Thouarsais village in the Deux-Sèvres region, Camping Les Adillons has simple grass pitches shaded by mature trees. It’s a handy springboard for exploring the lush Thouet river valley on foot or by bike, and the popular theme parks of Puy du Fou and Futuroscope are both around an hour’s drive away – just the job for treating well-behaved kids. However you’d care to spend your holiday, Les Adillons has plenty to please on site. Anglers keep themselves busy on the private fishing pontoon, and your little angels can be entertained at kids’ club (twice weekly in July and August) while you maintain your exercise regime at the outdoor fitness area. Alternatively, simply laze on the lakeside beach with a picnic and refresh every so often with dips in the pristine water. Hiking and cycling trails galore can be accessed directly from the pitches, including the Thouet à Vélo route along its namesake river – you can hire bikes on site, by the way – and the municipal swimming pool and tennis courts in Luché-Thouarsais are free for Les Adillons guests to use in high season. Catering is a doodle too, with a bread and pastries order service for breakfast, a bar and restaurant open between May and late August, and an essentials store if you fancy a spot of self-catering. Forgotten anything? Ask at reception, where handy stuff like bedding, towels and barbecues can be hired.

Electric grass pitch

Liked: Well what can we say, what a beautiful site, trees everywhere, massive pitches,our’s even had it’s own water supply, toilet’s had seat’s supply youre own loo roll though, massive shower’s,good sink’s very very clean, washing up area very good,and load’s and load’s of nice hot water. Site even had a little cafe on site selling burger’s fritte’s, sandwich baguette’s, drink’s etc etc,and covered seating outside. Now the good bit!, a massive yes massive fishing lake a stone’s through from our pitch, this place is a fisherman’s dream holiday, in the correct hand’s it would be a gold mine, can’t understand how we were the only motorhome there, and the place was all but empty? Why?, would I come back, yes I wood but this time my fishing gear would be on board with me.there is even a separate lake for water sport’s, I say again why was the site empty??.

Disliked: Nothing at all wat so ever

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked: A quiet site with spacious, shady pitches and uncrowded walking trails around the two lakes. The facilities were always clean and tidy during our stay. The team were really helpful and our dog was even treated to a welcome pack containing a new tennis ball and chews! There's a small cafe on site serving drinks and simple meals. There's also two other restaurants within easy walking distance as well as pizza and bread machines! The site was a perfect location for us to visit Thouars, Bressuire and Parthenay. We had a perfect stay and we'll definitely visit again. Un site tranquille avec des emplacements spacieux et ombragés et des sentiers de randonnée peu fréquentés autour des deux lacs. Les blocs sanitaires étaient toujours propres et bien rangés pendant notre séjour. L'équipe a été très serviable et notre chien a même reçu un pack de bienvenue contenant une nouvelle balle de tennis et des friandises pour chien ! Il y a un petit café sur place qui sert des boissons et des repas simples. Deux autres restaurants sont également accessibles à pied, ainsi qu'un distributeur de pizzas et de pain ! Le site était parfaitement situé pour nous permettre de visiter Thouars, Bressuire et Parthenay. Nous avons passé un séjour parfait et nous reviendrons certainement.

Local attractions

Still looking for more alfresco sporty stuff to do? Get the kids hooked on laser games at La FabriQ (15 minutes’ drive), go cycling along La Vélo Francette (40 minutes) or spend the day sailing dinghies on the Thouet river (20 minutes) before retiring to the spa at Les Bassins du Thouet (15 minutes) for a spot of pampering to ease aching muscles. Chances are the kids will be keen to get to a theme park. The big hitters Puy du Fou (historical shows with casts of thousands) and Futuroscope (4D rides and interactive exhibits) are both around an hour’s drive away for fun-filled days out, but closer to base camp is the Parc de la Vallée (25 minutes), with loads of rides for all levels of bravery. When it’s time for a bit of culture, walled Thouars (15 minutes) is considered one of the loveliest towns in France. Have a wander around the medieval old town, lined with half-timbered mansions, admire the ornate facade of Église Saint-Médard and maybe tour the striking 17th-century Château des Ducs de La Trémoille, sitting on the hillside overlooking the river.

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.

Changes to your holiday

Changes cannot be made once you have booked.

Dogs

A valid vaccination certificate must accompany your dog.
Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
