Non-electric grass pitch

Liked Owners very friendly and helpful. The toilet block is absolutely spotless and the showers are the best I've ever had! Pitches are very roomy and level. Fantastic area too.

Disliked There is nothing to dislike here.

Electric grass pitch

Liked * Matt and Cora's hospitality, friendliness and generosity
* the enormous size of the pitches (and therefore the privacy)
* the peace and quiet
* the proximity to a beautiful beach (200 yards away) aside a huge lake, with beach bar, water-sports, fishing and play area for children
* the modern, well equipped facilities
* the safe environment
* the excellent 4G signal
* equidistant from Chabanais and Rochechouart - two beautiful historic towns
* the flat pitches, with easy access to water and electricity

Electric grass pitch

Liked The site was peaceful and not busy the bathrooms and toilets were very nice and accommodating very clean there was a bar and restaurant not too far down the road.

Disliked The site was untidy there was leaves all over the site the owners can make an effort too clean up and move leaves too another area so you don’t have too walk over them all the time.Use a blower dig a big hole and make a compost heap with leaves .
There was no facilities too dump your water and clean your toilet cassette.

Electric grass pitch

Local attractions

Lac de Lavaud will be your first port of call, surely – it’s got a sandy beach (with lifeguards in July and August), a miniature golf course, watersports rentals and places to fish (if you have the right licence). Bikes are available to rent if you’d like to explore on two wheels, and in summer there are horse riding lessons on offer too. There are lots of lovely landscapes to explore in the area – perhaps on one of the Périgord-Limousin Regional Natural Park’s many trails, or the vélorail, ziplines and treetop courses at Espace Hermeline (45 minutes’ drive). If you’d like to take in some historic sights too, then head to the likes of Château de Rochechouart, which houses a contemporary art museum, and the Roman site of Cassinomagus (both 15 minutes). Other outings might take you to explore medieval Confolens (half an hour), the porcelain makers of Limoges (45 minutes) or the museums and street art of Angoulême (an hour).
