What customers say

This campsite offers large, quiet, and private pitches, often described as feeling like wild camping in a unique wooded quarry location. Visitors appreciated the friendly and helpful owner, clean facilities with hot water, and its suitability as a stopover or base for visiting Paris. However, a significant number of reviews highlight the pool being closed for extensive renovation, causing disappointment as it was a key draw for many. Some also noted the sanitary facilities could benefit from updating and more frequent cleaning, and occasionally mentioned noise from late arrivals or events.

From the manager: Booking through pitch up gives apparently a right to give an opinion on a site where you have not stayed nor visited and not even arrived to the reception !

Electric optional grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked The people staying there were nice

Disliked I had big hopes for this campsite as we were really looking forward to it as per pictures, got there and the first thing was the swimming pool was closed which is what the kids came for so had to go to the local lake which was about 30 euros for a family of four, renovating in the last week of August.
On our last few days we then found out they had a weekend rave which when on all through the night, owner didn’t tell us that this was going on or we would of pitched further away, overall we won’t be coming back sorry

Electric optional grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked Very helpful and friendly owner. Beautiful setting that makes you feel like you are wild camping with loads of pitches to choose from. We had a very peaceful pitch a d could make a campfire. We had a lovely 3 nights here on our way back to England. Clean facilities with constant hot water. Ideal for visiting Paris- the owner directed us to a station within zone 5 that had free parking and allowed us to buy a ticket for €12 that gave us unlimited travel around Paris!

Electric optional grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked Everything!
We were a bit daunted at first when finding a pitch but it was so worth it! Huge, private pitch in lovely surroundings. It really feels like wild camping but with all the benefits of a regular campsite. Good facilities, baguettes and croissants in the morning and lovely staff. We only stayed one night on our way back to Calais but will definitely be back. Loved it!

Electric optional grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked We loved the fact you could pitch up anywhere felt like we were wild camping.
Owner was friendly on arrival told us about places we could visit nearby

Disliked The swimming was closed due to refurbishment which we didn't realise, that was the main point for us.
Around the club house needs cleaning up maybe an investment of a mower and hedge trimmer. It was all over grown Around the play area and the fort. No real rules for quiet time a few noisy people late at night and early hours.

Local attractions

The site sits north of Paris (about an hour’s drive), so you can have a day to explore the City of Lights, board a bateau-mouche cruise down the River Seine, visit art masterpieces in The Louvre and dine in Montmartre bistros. Another bucket-list attraction about the same distance away is the Palace of Versailles, where you can tour opulent apartments and wander the formal water gardens. Another grand palace is open for tours at sublime Chantilly (15 minutes), which also has an equine museum and stellar art collection; close by is the exceptional Gothic architecture of soaring Cathédrale Notre-Dame in Senlis (25 minutes). If that all sounds a bit too much like culture, the kids will probably prefer day trips to the rollercoasters and water rides at Gaul-themed Parc Astérix (half an hour). For your full compliment of amusement parks, head for the parades, musical shows and simulator rides at Disneyland Paris (an hour). To make things easy for you, tickets for both world-renowned parks are available to buy at reception on site.
