General

  • Beautiful green landscaped setting close to Saint-Quentin
  • 30 kilometres from the Great War circuits and memorials
  • Take advantage of the pond

Camping du Vivier aux Carpes is located in a beautiful green landscaped setting close to Saint-Quentin - it is the right place for nature and fishing lovers. Only one-and-a-half hours from Paris and Lille, the campsite is a short drive (30 kilometres) from the Great War circuits and memorials.

The pitches are spacious, with most of them separated by hedges and supplied with electricity. Modern facilities also include new toilet blocks, a large communal room with sofas, books (available in different languages) and pool tables. We also have table tennis, a children's play area and of course, a pétanque court.

In high season a snack bar is open, where you can enjoy a quick bite or an ice cream - simply sit on the terrace and relax!

Guests can also take advantage of the pond. From as little as €6 per day per person, you can enjoy your favourite sport and try to beat the 2011 carp record: 19.50kg. The pond is full of carp, tench, pike, bream, roach and eel. Please note, there is also another affectionate group of guests, the mosquitoes, holidaying at the pond. Please be careful when you go fishing.

Please note

Facilities/activities including fishing are subject to extra charges payable on arrival.

Local attractions

The Seraucourt-le-Grand area is rich in cultural heritage.

Saint-Quentin, known as the Art Déco city, is the place to go. Try out the local restaurants, visit the abbey and the town hall, and don't forget the bird sanctuary.

A little further, within a 30 kilometre radius, history enthusiasts will be able to dive into the past: visit the Museum of the Great War, the Deportation Museum and Museum of the Resistance or the American Cemetery and Memorial. Discounted offers and tours may be available if you enquire at the reception.

Only five kilometres from the campsite, find the Aéro Club Saint-Quentin-Roupy. Horseback-riding is available in Trefcon (only 15 kilometres away).

Walking, hiking, cycling and canoeing are also available in the immediate surroundings.

Ternier is ideal for a bit of sun and water: go to Base Nautique Frette to Ternier and spend the day by the beach, windsurfing or mini golfing.

Real golfers can enjoy a game or two at Golf Saint-Quentin-Mesnil (15 kilometres away).
