Camping La Davière Plage

Watersports, fishing and long days of beach basking are within ambling distance, as are bike trails, walking paths and a golf course. Take a shuttle bus to get to the shopping area or Saint-Jean-de-Monts and its eight-kilometre sandy beach. Going north, it's 12 kilometres to the coastal town of La Barre de Monts, reachable by car or bike from here or via the bridge of the Passage du Gois from Beauvoir-sur-Mer. Take the ferry to the spectacular and famed isle of Noirmoutier, for 50 kilometres of beaches, more scenic cycling trails and fab l'Herbaudiere harbour, with rockpools on either side for mussel foraging. Sailing centres for boating and kayaking sessions and lessons are at Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez, along with riding stables to arrange hacks into the coastal pine forest. The Atlantic Toboggan waterpark is a kilometre from town.
