- Small, pretty, rural campsite, 32 kms from the Atlantic Coast.
Our camping offers tranquility and therefore we accept adults only (no children under 18).
We also have some rental accommodation on our camping: a wooden chalet (1-2 p) (May - mid September).
We have 2 gîtes that can be rented throughout the year.
Pets are welcome (also in our accommodation) but have to be on a leash on the campsite.
Our mini-camping à la ferme has 6 pitches of aproximately 120 m2. The pitches are sunny, some have shade as well.
Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 9 AM. We do not allow parties or music since our guests come to enjoy the silence and sounds of nature.
WE HAVE A POOL.
The view from our campsite is beautiful, if we do say ourselves. We are not visible from the road and no cars pass nearby. Our camping is car free, cars will be parked right behind the trees, behind pitches 1 through 4.
In order to protect the ground sheet of your tent, please use eco carpets which have holes in them (in case you want to put anything extra under your ground sheet). This is grass friendly.
Our camping is not equiped to empty chemical toilets. Should you have one, please contact us on solutions.
Find nearby sites with availability…
Many sites set a maximum occupancy of 6/8 people per pitch, so try breaking your booking down into smaller groups to generate more results. For example, if you’re a group of 10, enter 5 people in your initial search and then book 2 pitches.
However, where the pitch or accommodation occupancy allows it, you can make a booking for up to 30 adults and 30 children in one booking.
To book multiple pitches or accommodation, use the 'Special requests' box on the booking page to ask to be sited together. Complete the booking form for the first booking (you can add a password and save your card so that we remember your details). Then click "Make another booking like this" at the top of the confirmation page to make the next booking.
Large groups: check the listing page for any group restrictions set out in the terms and section titled ‘Please note’.
Large tents/caravans: check the restrictions on unit dimensions to ensure your unit is suitable for the space you will be provided with.

We are situated near the Autoroute A83. Driving southwards, take exit 6, direction Bournezeau. In the village take a left to Mareuil-sur-Lay (D48). After 100 meters turn right towards Thorigny. In the village of Thorigny, go left towards Château Guibert (D60). Pass through Château Guibert. You will see the lake on your right. Pass through the hamlet of Bellenoue. On your right you will see a picknick and play area, immediately after the first house on the right (which is situated behind high trees immediately after the pick nick area), turn right. At the T-junction turn right again, after 100 meters turn left at the sign Camping à la ferme L'Etournerie. You have to take the small field road crossing down through the field.
Our camping is situated behind our farm with views over the valley, sunny but also shaded thanks to some (fruit) trees. It is nice and quiet, yet all facilities are close by.
Mareuil-sur-Lay is only 3 km away. Here you can find facilities such as doctors, pharmacies, vets, bakery shops, butchers, a supermarket etc.
Behind our farm and camping, the lake is 300 meters away. It is ideal for fishing (permit). There are also several picnic tables.
Other surrounding places are :La Roche-sur-Yon This town was founded in 1804 by Napoleon. It is also the capitol of the Vendée. It has several (large) supermarkets, a hospital and of course other shops.
Luçon is 12 km south and has a nice centre and a beautiful cathedral that was built in the 12th - 14th century, attached to the Benedictine convent, that was built in the 7th century. Cardinal Richelieu (known from "The three Musketeers") was bishop here from 1606 to 1623.
Le Jardin Dumaine is also definitely worth a visit.
The Vendée is perfect for making many diverse trips and for many activities. The beaches are close by, but also the Venise Vert, an area consisting of green polders with numerous canals. Here you can take boattrips, but it is also a lovely place for walking or cycling.
The sandy beaches and ocean of the Vendée are well known. The bottom of the sea slopes very slowly and there are practically no currents. The Warm Gulfstream makes the climate very agreeable. Even in Autumn, Winter and Spring.
Beautiful cities to explore include: La Rochelle, Les Sables d'Olonne, Nantes, Angers and Poitiers
