Liked Swimming pool.

Disliked I find it hard that a 4 star campsite doesn't offer toilet paper in it facilities.

Poor pitch, noisy,

Automatic taps in sanitation not suitable for camping.
Unable to wash up properly as no plug in sinks.

Great site. Clean. Well run. Perfect.

Liked Excellent pitch with some shady areas. 16amp electric! Toilet and shower facilities superb and kept spotlessly clean. The swimming pools, aquafun slides, sauna and steam room all superb. Good little shop on site. Overall an excellent site. Lots of cycle paths nearby, and only 5 minute cycle ride to the beach.

Disliked Only drawback was the lack of a water supply on the pitch (nearest was at toilet block) and difficulty emptying chemical closet as only place was on other side of park. But these were minor drawbacks.

Disliked Emplacement trop petit. Alors que nous avions demandé un grand. Notre demande n'a pas été respecté. Ils ont refuser de changer alors qu'ils ont accepté pour plusieurs autres vacanciers.

Liked The indoor pool was great as the weather was up & down. Plenty of things for kids. Easy to access cycle track & walk or ride to beaches.

Disliked Pitches were not that big. Facilities were not cleaned as often as could be - no toilet roll or soap.

Local attractions

Camping L'Océan is a short stroll from the sands of Brem-sur-Mer, an Atlantic coast seaside town known for its beach and its vineyard established in the 14th century by local monks. Under 10 minutes' drive from Brem is more of the seasidey same at Bretignolles-sur-Mer, home of a 13-kilometre beach popular with families (if you want a quieter Bretignolles beachy spot for the day, follow the Route de la Corniche from the town centre). One of the Vendée's many cycle paths is accessible from town too, from the beach a short distance to the shops and restaurants of Bretignolles town, and around the Parc de Morinières. Another famed Vendée seaside town is within day trip distance at swish Les Sables d'Olonne, 20 kilometres north of Bretignolles or about 20 minutes' drive from the site. It's a busy and popular town, with a three-kilometre beach, busy fishing port and big harbour; arrange boat trips from this latter if you want to get out onto the Atlantic. The Camping L'Océan team also recommends nearby La Gachère, a little fishing village with narrow roads and low houses. Cycling trails are 200 metres away; bikes can be hired on site.

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Dogs

A valid vaccination certificate must accompany your dog.
Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. XL Bully, Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro) and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.
Your dog must be tattooed or microchipped.

Motorbike(s) can be brought instead of the car(s) included.

General

Bookings are nominative and non-transferable.
Entertainment and activities are available between 01/07 and 31/08.
In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and boots must be closed quietly.
The grocery shop is open between 06/04 and 03/11.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
