General

  • A family friendly campsite on the banks of a river
  • Enjoy the heated swimming pool
  • Many activities are available for children

Dominique and Marie welcome you at the campsite Le Septentrion where you can enjoy a family atmosphere on the banks of a river and within a short distance of a lake.

You will find all the essential facilities to make the best of your holiday: a heated and covered swimming pool and paddling pool, a table tennis, a volleyball court, a small farm, a trampoline and crazy golf. In July and August there are many activities for the children such as mountain biking, canoeing, archery and creative workshops that are put on to give Mum and Dad a break. There's a WiFi connection throughout the campsite (small charges apply). Our large pitches are suitable for all kind of units and supplied with 10-amp electric hook-ups.

The restaurant and bar area is open from April to September and serves snacks, burgers, pizzas and regional dishes at lunchtimes and in the evenings.

There is a barbecue area available for all the guests to use. If you keep it nice and clean, we won't charge any extra. You can rent bicycles on site, play pétanque or have a swim in the river (there is a lifeguard on duty during July and August).

The staff met us at the door although we arrived very late (after midnight) and helped us get the tent up. Swimming pool was great and like glue for the children. Generally clean and appears to attract good people - which is what makes a campsite.

    Disliked:

We didn't know that the region shuts down on Mondays - kind of important when you are looking for food. Also found the little extras for wifi (daily passwords) and electricity annoying - especially as we didn't know we needed to bring an extension. Also not all of the activities were open on Monday so a bit of a nuisance.

I think it needs a bit of a tidy up and some money spent on things looking me the park. The lake seemed to be part of the park when we booked but was outside the gates and open to the everybody.

The owners were very helpful although English was limited we did manage with our limited French and they were so accommodating. Our Pitch was nice, spacious and level and the facilities were good and generally very well kept. Kids aged 11 and 12 enjoyed the onsite kids things , trampolines, covered pool and the ping pong tables and lots of tracks for riding push bikes with nice views and the lake was also fab .
