It's all green around here... but of course. And it's quite a scenic lot more too, as Camping au Vert de l'Authie is an easy half-hour drive from the Pas de Calais 7 Valleys region, a land so lush and handsome it's been hailed as the best-kept secret in northern France. Heading coastwards, seaside towns such as Le Touquet and Boulogne-sur-Mer are within an hour and 15 minutes' drive; inland, Amiens is about 50 minutes to the south and Arras just under an hour to the east. And might you care to add some angling to this excellent assortment? Easily sorted: Camping au Vert de l'Authie has its own private fishing pond to cast off at for carp, and you can try and trout in the nearby river too. Back at base, there's a heated indoor pool for all ages, and a good range of other leisure options including a play area with bouncy castle; a pétanque area; table tennis, and a bar games room with billiards, darts, table football and board games. Camping au Vert de l'Authie is just outside the village of Beauvoir-Wavans, about an hour and a half from Calais. As well as the pond, pool and other leisurely options, the site has a summer kids' club for juniors, and nightly entertainment such as dances, dinners, pool games and carriage rides for all ages in high season. The site terrace bar and restaurant is open seven days a week in summer, for meals for all sizes as well as snacks to take away.

Coco Sweet ready tent (two person)

Liked Bij aankomst bleek onze gereserveerde tent toch iets kleiner te zijn dan wij dachten. Maar na een paar dagen kregen wij het aanbod om naar een grotere tent te verhuizen. Echt super! Hier hebben we DA. Ook echt van kunnen genieten.

Disliked Er waren dagen dat er grote groepen jongeren waren die voor een nachtje bleven. Dan was het bij het douche gebouw vaak erg vies.

Nous vous avons demandé chaque jour si tout se passait bien , vous ne nous avez fait aucune remarque sur l'état des sanitaires, que nous nettoyons au minimum trois fois par jour
On ne peut néanmoins pas incriminer plus les enfants que les adultes dans le respect des lieux communs comme celui du respect des hébergements .

Liked Good pitches with a nice layout. Lovely location next to a water mill. Looks well-maintained and is an ordered site. Nice clean bathrooms and loo paper provided. Friendly owner. Ordered bakery goods for the following morning which was helpful. Good location for stop overs.

Disliked Not fully open yet so cannot comment further - we knew that when we booked for a very early April stay. No soap in bathrooms but that was ok for us - maybe less so for kids until they get into the habit of taking it with them.

Disliked The owners dog wandering the campsite sat by the table where my family were dog allowed claps and scratches but my 2 year old went near it at the front it barked and bit into my daughter on the side of the head when we told the server she didn’t understand but moved the dog no staff checked my daughter was ok and not a single apology just lucky the dog didn’t get a hold of her arm face two days I spent in fear as the dog wandered freely around the whole campsite also appeared at my pitch on its own at 630am

Je tiens à m'excuser de tout coeur au vue de la problématique que vous avez rencontré avec notre chien.
Il est vrai que Laîka a toujours eu un bon comportement mais elle est vieillissante et a sûrement maintenant une autre attitude.

Pour ma part j'avais été averti de l'incident mais je pensais que le nécessaire avait été fait auprès de vous.
Je regrette vraiment que vous soyez restés sur cette mauvaise image.
Nous serons d'autant plus vigilant à l'avenir.

Take yourself off to the 7 Valleys region for your first day trip, reachable within half an hour's drive of the site. This gorgeous land covers valleys (obvs) and forests, rivers and meadows, spanning land including the Canche valley from the river flowing into the English Channel; the battle sites of Agincourt and Crecy; the Opal Coast and the wildlife regions of the Authie river (here be otters). The gardens of Maizicourt, 19 green spaces around an 18th-century castle, are under 10 minutes' drive away.. Plunge into the forest around Hesdin, half an hour away in the centre of the 7 Valleys, for over 10,000 hectares of woodland, walking and biking trails, and plentiful wildlife such as deer and rabbits. It's about an hour's hike from one end of the forest to t'other; pick up a map at the tourist office in Hesdin town.
