General

  • Quiet couples and families site with easy access to the motorway
  • 14 acres including a 5-acre fishing pond
  • Play area, bouncy castle, outdoor fitness area and bread sales

Camping Les Colombes is a large campsite in the peaceful Sensée valley in a tiny rural village with a population of approximately 500 people. You can't get any more local than this! The site is coloured by a variety of flowers and trees with hedges ensuring privacy.

Fishing enthusiasts don't have to go far as there is a five-acre fishing pond filled with roach, tench, black bass, bream, pike and carp. Night fishing is also permitted.

The site has a play area for children, a bouncy castle, a table tennis and a covered games room. There is also an outdoor fitness area and several pétanque lanes. Guests can order freshly-baked bread every day, as well as croissants and pain-au-chocolat.

Toilet and shower facilities are suited for guests with disabilities.

Please note

Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Not suitable for touring caravans. 16/08/2017

3 French people who tried to help us get in touch with the owners of the site. And to get us through the barriers into the site , because no one was available in reception or even answering the contact telephone numbers. They also took us round the site with our caravan to try to find a space.

    Disliked:

Arrived approx 14.00hrs 13/08/17. Unable to contact anyone in reception, which was closed. Unable to contact on the telephone number given to contact. We were causing a blockage with our caravan in the entrance which was very narrow, not enough room for a caravan & car to pass. Damage was caused to our caravan trying to move, due to the congestion at the barrier. When we did get on the site with the help of the 3 french residents, the site was very crowded and untidy looking. They said that there was no room available to pitch our caravan, even so by this time we had made the decision to leave and go to another caravan site 2 hours away, which we had stayed at before. Thankfully we only paid a deposit to stay here. I think the comments that I have made are fair, courteous and constructive.

Absolutely perfect for an overnight stay. Owner was very helpful, finding us an extension lead for the electricity. Useful bread service in the morning. If you arrive in the evening as we did, just phone for the owner, otherwise just ask if reception is closed. Nice big flat pitch. Thank you.

    Not easiest drive to motorway.
Toilets and showers were in a poor state and smelled horrendously bad.

From the manager...

Hello,

I appologize for the states of the toilets and showers that you found when you arrived quite late in the day. You should have told me when you discovered this.
You were unlucky and probably went in the toilets after disrespectful persons. This situation is not a normal situation in my camp site.
Stefan, next time you come, if toilets smell, I offer you one night.
Thank you for your comments,
Georges,
