Do you like to stay in green surroundings with hiking and cycling trails nearby and lakes within a short drive? You should very much like Camping Les Sapins de Corrèze, a family-run Limousin site in the middle of a forest. Set over 10 acres with plenty of fresh air, greenery and wildlife, the site has plenty of handy amenities, including breakfast for an additional fee (to eat on site or take away), a grocery shop selling local products, a snack bar with a takeaway service and a launderette with washing machines and dryers. Between naps and aperitifs with the squirrels and birds as your soundtrack, make use of the large room on site with a library area, TV, table football and pool table. For those who want to get stuck into sports or outdoor activities, there are courts for tennis, volleyball and badminton, as well as a ping pong table and a children's playground. The star of the show, though, is surely the pool area (open during high season only), where there's a heated pool and a kids' pool. Another perk of staying at Camping Les Sapins de Corrèze is that it's only a 15-minute drive from the shops in Neuvic, and if you can't be bothered to go the distance, a grocery delivery from a major supermarket can be arranged online. Markets, farms and orchards are also nearby.

Electric grass tent pitch (no cars)

Liked Quiet, relaxing. Just what we needed after a long drive from Calais.
The staff were very helpful.
There was a good atmosphere in the outdoor refreshment area. The food was good.
The swimming pool was a good size and a great way to cool down in the heatwave.
The toilet block and shower areas were very clean with plenty of hot water.

Disliked There was nothing to dislike.

Liked Sehr gemütlicher kleiner Campingplatz mit vielen Aktivitätsmöglichkeiten ( nettes Schwimmbad, Tennis, Boule-Platz, Billard, Tischtennis, Tischfußball…)! Ideal für Kinder! Es gibt auch ein kleines Restaurant mit sehr leckerem Essen und die Betreiber sind sehr nett!!!

Liked Fabulous site in the middle of a pine forest, very natural. Lovely atmosphere with mix of ages. Facilities were spotless. Lovely swimming pool and snack bar area - even had a band playing one evening which was a bonus.

Yes indeed out of our 38 campsites, there are 4 or 5 remaining which are not flat but with this rainy season, it has been a blessing to have them because the rainwater does not stagnate and these pitches remain passable for vans like yours. Unfortunately we couldn't offer you other locations with all the rain that fell during the week.

We have just bought the campsite, this will indeed be something to improve in the future.

Local attractions

If there's one thing the Haute-Corrèze is known for, it's spectacular hikes and waterfalls. The Regional Natural Park of Millevaches (from 10 minutes' drive) is an International Dark Sky Reserve with Natura 2000 sites and interactive treasure hunts, and towards Bort-les-Orgues, is the spectacular UNESCO World Heritage Site, Gorges de la Dordogne (40 minutes' drive) Cyclists and mountain hikers also have plenty to occupy their attention, including five mountain biking trails (ranging from 12 to 53 kilometres) directly from the site. For yet more outdoor activities, there are activity centres scattered around Haute-Dordogne and Haute-Corrèze running a whole range of land- or water-based activities. In the summer season, head for the watersports centres at lakes Triouzoune, Sèchemailles and Deiro (all within 15 to 20 minutes); Triouzoune even has e-foiling. Keen to tick off some big attractions? Your list should most definitely include the likes of Viaduc des Rochers Noirs (40 minutes), the Castle Ventadour ruins (25 minutes), the Castle of Val (45 minutes) and the Longeyroux peat bogs (35 minutes). The Dordogne River (25 minutes) is a strong contender for a spot on your itinerary, too: it's popular for paddleboarding, kayaking or canoeing and gourmet or sightseeing trips on a traditional flat-bottomed boat (gabare).
