What customers say
This is a peaceful, well-maintained campsite with spacious, private pitches, often shaded and offering great views. Facilities, including showers and toilets, are generally reported as clean, though some noted limited availability. Guests appreciated the friendly owners, the eco-friendly approach, and the convenient location near a supermarket and a charming village. While the pool is clean, it was sometimes described as cold. If I was passing that way again. I’d stay again.

Liked The location was lovely, the town of Saissac in walking distance and the chateau history was interesting. A free bus ride to Carcassonne is a must. Be aware the last bus home is at 18:10.
The campground is geared to nature, being mindful of water usage. The facilities were all good. Laundry and dishwashing area is perfect for your needs. Toilets - make sure you bring your own loo paper. Showers do the job. You have to keep pushing the on button. But this saves on water. The shower & toilet block shut from 11pm for cleaning and for the night apart from 2 toilets and a wash basin.
The views were amazing from the camp and the ruins of the chateau.
A short 5 minute walk out of camp brings you to a grocery shop. It has everything you need. Next to that is a butcher. He shuts at midday. Get there early because the queues are long.
Stéphanie and Jean-Louis work very hard. Their philosophy of nature conservation shows around the campground.
Disliked Nothing really.

Liked Muy cómodo y amplió. Tranquilo y familiar.
Disliked Me gusto todo, solo avisar que para usar la piscina se debe llevar bañador de natación, no sirven las bermudas.

A great little eco site!
Electric grass pitch
Liked Very spacious pitches with just the right amount of shelter from the sun. Loved the hedge boundaries too! Clean showers and toilets (bring your own loo roll though!) and a decent swimming pool. Carrefour mini market just outside the gates was super handy, with quality food and fresh bread available daily. The hosts were friendly, and the food in the site bar / cafe was tasty.
The site was family friendly but surprisingly quiet, with almost no noise after 9pm.
Saissac village and ruins were a short walk away too, and Carcassonne a short drive away. Really enjoyed our stay and recommend to anyone thinking about staying.
We also needed a vet to administer a tape work tablet for the AHC and the local vet in Saissac was both within walking distance and very amenable.
Disliked Our electric occasionally tripped out when using the kettle ( we think they run on 6amps). No big deal really, but unlike the UK, you can’t reset the trip so if you fancy an early cuppa, be mindful that the hosts may not be about to reset the trip switch for you.
