Not un but deux rivers flank the Seine-Maritime site Camping Des 2 Rivières, for it sits on a peaceful petite island close to the teeny village of Martigny. Two branches of the Varenne flow on either side of the site, with direct access to the water for folk who fancy a bit of fishing. And the aquatic attractions don’t end there, for this is an area of many lakes, with the nearest being just beyond the river; it stretches out to a sizeable 20 hectares and is home to a watersports centre that rents paddleboards, canoes and small boats to those that make the five-minute walk from site. Still seeking more? The Dieppe coast is a 15-minute drive away for beaches and seaside strolls (plus ferries for channel-crossing types). Water alone isn’t enough to sustain life though, so at some point you’ll probably want to amble to up Arques-la-Bataille (a 25-minute walk or 10-minute bike ride away) to source supermarket supplies or settle in for local eats in the restaurants. Through the summer, keep an eye on the site’s own schedule too, to see if there any themed meals are planned (paella, barbecue and moules nights are frequent faves). Work up an appetite for your dinner by signing up for pétanque competitions in high season, or honing your technique at other times. Badminton, table tennis, table football and video games also await for those who need an outlet for their competitive edge.

Liked Nice plots, nice gardens, lovely lake and rivers.
Fishing available on site.
Nice dog walk around the other lake.
Good cycle ways available to Dieppe.

Disliked Reception on behind the deask was shambolic.
Facilities were extremely poor and outdated. Toilet paper and soap is expected these days. Also some parts damaged. In short in urgent need of renovation.
Hot water was lacking.

Liked Lovely lake side large pitch
Owners very friendly and helpful even though my French is non existent however by the power of Google translation we got by.
The site is a Flowers camping site which we didn't know when we booked
Just be aware the owners email us a access code and your pitch to you which arrived about half an hour before we got to the site which I never picked up and was a little confused by the owner trying to tell me in French however we got there in the end.
There is a small shop on site that has a small selection of grocery
And sells beer which we had the first night ( though not to my wife liking)
We had a bit of a problem with the motorhome awning getting damaged due to heavy rain through the night which the owners let me use a set of ladders to get it back in a secured away.

Over all a great site for a stop over for the ferry from Dieppe.

Disliked The toilets are z bit run down and be aware there is no toilet seats or no toilet paper provided also no soap at any hand washing
Also could be doing with a good clean

Liked Fab large pitch on the edge of the fishing pond. Peaceful….apart from the rather noisy ducks!
Lovely walk around the lakes into town and up to the castle.

Liked Loved it all. Super inexpensive and very low interference from owners. Great pitch sizes and lovely lake. Great views , noisy adorable ducks and a tawny owl. What’s not to like ???

Disliked It’s pretty low tech so I think it’s good to ensure people know the exit barrier senses the car so you don’t need a code ( like you do to enter ). We got stressed when trying to leave for the ferry because we couldn’t figure out why the codes didn’t work !

Liked Peaceful location, lovely view over the lake and of the castle. Close to Dieppe.

Disliked No toilet paper or soap in the sanitaires was disappointing and lots of the toilets were out of order. Advertised as a place with a watersports centre, but the gate that leads to this was locked and taped closed.

The water-based activities around here are indeed many, but there's no lack of things to do if you'd rather keep dry for a while. Perhaps you might like to take a stroll along the forest trails around Arques-la-Bataille or pedal over to the Avenue Verte (five minutes away) for 60 kilometres of safe, family-friendly bike path? More forest frolics can be had from the horse riding centre 15 minutes away or on the treetop trails at Arb’aventure (also 15 minutes). Want to see some wildlife? What sort would you expect to see around here? Of course – bisons (non?) And that’s exactly what you’ll see (along with a herd of deer) charging across the fields at Reve de Bisons (15 minutes' drive).
