Now this is something a bit special… As you may just possibly have suspected from the name, Upper Normandy's Camping de la Seine is on the Seine river, the 777-kilometre waterway that's probably the most famed in all of France: if you're going to vacance anywhere in la France, at some point you should have a holiday here. Views of France's most famous river and of the Seine valley can be had from all accommodation areas at Camping de la Seine, a green and spacious park set up for comfortable stays in a peaceful setting. The staff here are keen to ensure warm welcomes and a full intro into local life, from arranging trips to local attractions and activity destinations to inviting local farmers to bring the freshest of their seasonal fruit and veg to the site. Camping de la Seine has showers, toilets, a launderette and wifi. It's five minutes from these green riverside grounds to the old town of Jumièges, for shops and restaurants, barbecue supplies and – such a must – a ride across the Seine on the small ferry linking the town to the ruins of Jumièges Abbey.

Liked Het ontvangst en het regelen van een plek met stroom. Ik had zonder besteld maar had het toch nodig, geen enkel probleem!

Disliked Helaas konden we geen drinkwater krijgen of kopen, de kranen in de wasruimte waren heet en niet drinkbaar.

Liked Ruhige Lage.

Disliked Die 4 Sterne sind nicht nachvollziehbar. Die Zustände der Sanitären Einrichtungen insbesondere die Toiletten sind eine Katastrophe. Der Platz wirkt generell sehr ungepflegt und ohne jeglichen Service. Wir waren nur eine Nacht hier und waren froh am nächsten Tag weiterfahren zu können.

Liked Nice views of the Seine and the boats passing from some areas of the campsite. Very nice trampoline on site for the kids.

Really amazing watersports park nearby. Base de Loisirs, would definitely recommend only an 8 minute drive from this campsite.

Disliked Toilets weren’t very clean and the sinks were in a separate building to the toilets.

De Jumieges 2 bedroom yurt (hot tub)

Liked We gad booked The Yurt but upon arrival no one to direct us our accommodation so on the first night we were homeless. Also they had not received our booking from pick up so if you want to book go directly with the host. With that all being a bad experience the campsite did provide us with an upgrade at no extra cost which we were thankful gor however it doesn't reflect the fact that one night we were sleeping in the car and next day couldn't do our excursion cos we needed to wait until 11am for them to clean our new accommodation so a wasted day .

Disliked The didn't know we were coming so hadn't cleaned the yurt for us making us homeless in france for one night . When talking with pitch up about refund for one night due to being homeless they were not very helpful and nor were the campsite hosts as they said they adupgraded us at no extra cost... not taking into account that on one night we didn't have anywhere to stay ......

Par ailleurs, vous êtes arrivés dans la nuit, après la fermeture de la réception, sans nous avoir laissé de message vocal ou autre moyen de contact pour nous avertir.

Dès l’arrivée de notre équipe le lendemain matin, nous avons immédiatement fait le nécessaire pour vous reloger dans les meilleures conditions possibles. Nous vous avons d’ailleurs proposé un surclassement dans une maison tout confort, sans frais supplémentaires, et nous nous sommes assurés qu’elle soit propre et prête à vous accueillir.

Nous comprenons votre frustration et regrettons sincèrement les désagréments subis lors de votre première nuit. Toutefois, nous avons fait tout notre possible pour rectifier la situation rapidement dès que nous en avons eu connaissance.

Local attractions

Camping de la Seine's friendly team will happily give tips on local activities or help guests their days out; pickups, tours and dropoffs can all be arranged at the site. A family day or two out should be sorted at the Mesnil-Jumièges leisure centre within a short drive, where there's the Planet Adventure park, a recreational lake with zipline above the water, a diving platform, bungee jumping, archery, a BMX track and miniature golf. The centre has bike parking and wifi. Also within a few kilometres are the ruins of Jumièges abbey, a seventh-century monastery famed in later years as a main centre of Norman culture and learning. Group and guided tours are available, as well as temporary exhibitions, themed activities and kids' workshops.

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

A valid vaccination certificate must accompany your dog.
Dogs are not allowed if you are staying in the accommodation units.
