What customers say

This is a well-regarded campsite with a beautiful, quiet setting and friendly, helpful owners. Guests praise the clean swimming pool, entertaining goats, and excellent on-site cafe. Pitches are generally a good size. Some reviewers noted that toilet and shower facilities could benefit from updating, and one experienced issues with a pitch flooding. The pool has a Speedo-only policy.

Electric optional grass and gravel pitch

Liked Quiet site for an overnight stop with plenty of space on the pitch. The goats were ace, very entertaining. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

Disliked The pitch had to be cleaned of litter and tent pegs before pitching and we couldn't use the pool because our swimmers were baggy. Speedos only! A bit outdated.

From the manager: Merci pour votre commentaire.
It should have been interresting to know what kind of litter you find...
Concerning baggy swimmers, please read informations on website...

Electric optional grass and gravel pitch

Liked Location is good

Disliked The owners could not cope with people who were noisy for two nights. The swimming pool was closed just when we were there. It is not good when you book camping just because of pool and they closed the pool because they could not deal with children.
Also, they located us next to the BBQ area with the tent, I think is not good idea.
I think owners should revise their policy.

From the manager: Dear customer, you need to be a bit honest.
The swimming pool was closed for one day because the lifeguard wasn't there on Tuesdays. Remember, since you were on pitch 27, you saw them perfectly, one of the children from a large group was mentally and physically handicapped and without parental supervision. Opening the pool without a lifeguard would have been dangerous for the child. We are sorry to see that there are people who think of their own comfort rather than saving a child from drowning. We would like to add that our job requires us to move around the campsite, we're not stuck in front of the pool, we have to accompany customers, serve them at the snack bar, etc., which is why it's impossible for us to supervise children and why it's up to the parents. Once again, you've seen that the parents don't supervise their children.
Did you notice that the police came twice? Is that what you call not coping?
We welcome criticism, but only when it's constructive, not when it's misleading or insincere. What do you gain by writing your erroneous comments?
Ps you can reread our house rules and you'll see that children's swimming is the responsibility of their parents, not the campsite owners.

Electric optional grass and gravel pitch

Liked A decent sized pitch, clean toilets and hot showers. Nice surroundings on a pleasant site.

Disliked We arrived at 14.30 but the note on reception said closed from 12.00 to 15.00. There was a number to phone so we left a message as instructed but there was no reply. The times on pitch up say reception closed from 12 to 14. Not a problem but slightly annoying. We were checked in at 15.00 buy a friendly lady.

Local attractions

So you want to bag a few Loire Valley châteaux? Start your discovery tour with the sumptuous apartments and Tintin exhibition at 17th-century Château de Cheverny (20 minutes’ drive). Next up might be fanciful Chambord (35 minutes), with its famed spiral staircase inspired by Leonardo da Vinci, while the elegant, white-turreted Château de Chenonceau (also 35 minutes) spans the Loire River and houses important Old Master paintings as well as intricate Flemish tapestries. If the kids tire of looking at grand old mansions, take them to see the interactive displays on peasant life in the troglodyte caves at La Magnanerie (25 minutes). If that doesn’t have them smiling, it’s time to head for ZooParc de Beauval (also 25 minutes), where you can all get up close to endangered pandas, spot big cats in spacious enclosures and visit Komodo dragons in the soaring glass Equatorial Dome. See mushrooms being grown underground at Cave Champignonnière des Roches Ville Souterraine (25 minutes), and sample more regional produce at Touraine vineyards including Domaine Raphaël Midoir (five minutes) or Domaine de la Charmoise (10 minutes).
