What customers say

This campsite boasts an excellent location, ideal for cycling the Loire Valley and easily accessing Tours. Pitches are generally spacious, well-maintained, and often shaded. Visitors praised the friendly and helpful staff, clean facilities, and convenient amenities like food trucks. Some guests noted issues with signage due to a name change, small toilet blocks, and occasional noise from trains or other campers. A few reviews mentioned dated facilities and a lack of toilet seats or hand dryers.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Was a nice change from Yelloh Villages ' Le Talouch' where they put my trust back into the people of France. Pitch was quite big, had good on site vans that came on site, my daughter particularly liked the Kre van. Although there was no pool we were given free access to the municipal pool next door, which the kids said was one of the best camping pools they had used during camping.

The reception staff were excellent and very knowledgeable.

Disliked Not the campsites fault but there is a train crossing near that mad some noses late at night whilst we were trying to get to sleep.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Location,Location,Location. Just a 25min cycle on the cycle lanes into the beautiful city of Tours. The camp sites itself is very high standard. Great pitches with good access to water and electric. I would recommend this Location.

Disliked The toilet blocks seemed to be unisex but they are a little small for big burly men and petit ladies at the same times.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Great location for cycling the Loire Valley
Tours, Amboise and Blois are stunning places to visit.
All cycle routes are well signposted.
Pitches a good size and screened with natural hedges.
Facilities kept very clean
Very friendly and helpful management.

Disliked Campsite has changed its name so roadside signage was difficult to identify.
Location can be found on Google Maps but our Sat Nav couldn’t find new name.
Might need more facilities in peak season
No toilet seats or handdryers in facilities
Food seller area could do with cheering up

Local attractions

La Loire à Vélo runs for 800 kilometres along the Loire riverbank for two thirds of its route, and greenways, low traffic roads and bike trails for the rest. Bike along the route to splendid Tours, about 35 minutes by bike, or for a gentler time ride the couple of kilometres via Rue Christophe Plantin to arrive in local town Montlouis-sur-Loire. As it's the Loire Valley, châteaux and vineyards are easily reached too, many within about 45 minutes' cycle. A ride of around 40 minutes on the local greenway will take you to the splendid gardens of the Château de Valmer, where you can also taste local wines. Within an hour and a half – or about 40 minutes by car – is Château de Villandry, or you could pedal 50 minutes or so to Amboise, to view the medieval Château d’Amboise and the Château de Clos Lucé, where Leonardo da Vinci once lived. Too much old stuff? Take the kids to marvel at the depths of the Grand Aquarium of Touraine, about half an hour's drive from the site.
