Electric optional grass pitch

Liked Used this as a stopover as travelling further south. Lovely clean campsite and facilities were great. Amazing spot near the river, food on site was restaurant standard. The pool was busy but after a long drive appreciated as well as the pop up wine tasting. X

Disliked Nothing comes to mind, it was everything we needed it to be.

Local attractions

Straddling the river Cher, the Château de Chenonceau (five minutes’ drive or a 25-minute walk) was built in the early 1500s. Its elegantly opulent rooms house a remarkable art collection that includes works by Veronese and Rubens. The riverside formal gardens are a top spot for a stroll, before heading to the Labyrinth in the parkland. The vast grounds of ZooParc de Beauval (half an hour) feature several themed areas, such as On China Heights (home to giant pandas), Le Clan des Loups, with packs of wolves, and the Dôme Équatorial, housing tropical beasties such as anacondas, manatees and Komodo dragons. The cobbled streets of Tours’ old centre are lined with half-timbered buildings dating back to the Middle Ages. The Musée du Compagnonnage, in a former abbey, displays tools and items produced by local craft guilds, while the Centre de Création Contemporaine Olivier Debré (CCC OD) puts on contemporary art exhibitions.
