Might you like to wake to lake views during your Brittany break? And how about having lots of handy amenities within easy reach too? You’ll have easy access to both countryside views and convenient facilities when staying at Camping de L’Étang – this peaceful site is on the banks of Lac de Réguiny and about 15 minutes’ walk from the centre of Réguiny for a supermarket, restaurant and bakery (with Moréac about 10 minutes’ drive away for more of those options). And you won’t even have to stray that far for a bit of entertainment, as site guests have access to various leisure options in the immediate surroundings, including a community swimming pool (with paddling pool, diving board and Jacuzzi; fee payable), a tennis court, miniature golf, a fitness trail and a BMX track. If that all sounds a little too active, simply stroll to the bar 200 metres away where manager Tanguy welcomes guests to play games, watch sports on the screen or just sip a drink on the terrace. That lakeside location is a splendid one if you fancy a bit of fishing too – once you’ve picked up your licence in the village you’ll be able to fish from the banks of the 10-hectare lake (which is suitable for beginners as well as accomplished anglers). A number of useful amenities are provided on site, as well – guests have access to a toilet block (cleaned every day), a washing-up area, a communal fridge and a small convenience store, as well as a play area to keep the kids happy.

Liked de rust en de stilte op de camping, het algemene uitzicht op de vijver/meertje
een extra zaligheid was de absolute duisternis tijdens de nacht op enkele zachte solar lampjes na.

Met het warme weer was het jammer dat het gemeentelijke zwembad gesloten was.

Het sanitair is wel goed toegankelijk voor mindervaliden waar ik extra aandacht voor heb omwille van zorgbehoevenden in mijn nabije familie (electrische rolwagens)

Disliked het sanitair was keurig maar kon best wel een extra poetsbeurt gebruiken (natuurlijk is dit niet zozeer de fout van de camping maar eerder van sommige gasten)

Liked The quiet spot, slept sooooo well. The showers were clean, plenty of toilets. Access to water 💦 all over the campsite. We really enjoyed it and the family that own the campsite were lovely and friendly.

Disliked Clientèle (des groupe de caravanes anglais) régulière du camping extrêmement bruyante tous les jours. intervention des gendarmes pour les calmer.
Clientèle de langue séjour occupant les rares meilleurs emplacements sous les arbres possédant des chiens qui aboient fort toute les journées.

Liked Lovely spot next to a lake (perfect to walk round as an after dinner stroll). Lots of space (you can choose where you pitch up). Free WiFi (though only near reception).

Liked Rapport qualité prix, équipements sanitaires globalement ok

Disliked Horaires d'ouverture de l'accueil restreint en après midi, douches un peu froides et évacuation de l'eau à revoir. Problème de disponibilité de l'électricité pendant la nuit rapidement résolu mais impactant tout de même.

Liked die sehr engagierte Leiterin des Platzes war bereit bei allen Fragen zu helfen. Die Sanitäranlagen waren sehr großzügig bemessen und durchwegs sauber.
Wunderbar ist das Schwimmbad mit Außen- und Innenbecken etwas 10 Minuten Fußweg entfernt.

Disliked Die Umgebung ist etwas langweilig, nach Vannes ist es mit dem Fahrrad etwas zu weit. (ca. 65km)

Liked Quiet clean lakeside site with level pitches, very helpful staff. Lots of space between pitches.

Disliked The village of Reguiny has few facilities, basically just a charcuterie, tabac and pizzeria. No local shops.

Local attractions

This is a lovely location for Breton beach outings, whether you head south to the Gulf of Morbihan and its islands or north to the Côtes d’Armor. Some favourite spots include the long sandy stretch at Kerhillio and the town of Carnac, where you can visit the ancient standing stones before hitting the beach. Both are around an hour’s drive away. The coastal town of Lorient (45 minutes’ drive) is another great place to spend the day, with the Eric Tabarly Sailing Museum and submarine museum to visit before you head a little further west to the beaches. Inland, Lake Guerlédan (45 minutes) is the place for watersports or lakeside walks. If the kids need a bit more activity, take them along to the colourful rides of Kingoland amusement park (20 minutes) or the ziplines and laser tag games at Ludana adventure park (half an hour). Ecomuseum St. Dégan (45 minutes) is another interesting spot – or you could take the 15-minute walk from the site to Musée Les Sanglots Longs to learn a bit about World War II.
