General

  • Family-friendly and friendly site on the Pink Granite Coast
  • Activities for guests including shellfish foraging
  • Restaurant serving seafood and many other dishes

Brittany, as you may know, is quite the spot for seafood.

If you're a fan, you'll be rather enamoured with one of the aspects of the region's Camping Les 7 Îles, which sets up shellfish-finding excursions from site among the Ploumanac'h part of the Pink Granite Coast. And! They serve moules-frites on site too, which should be very much one of your fave ever Bretagne and France things.

Seafood aside (pfft), friendly Camping Les 7 Îles is also in prime locale for Brittany seaside antics, as it's set right by the water with direct access to the beach facing the Sept-Iles archipelago (you might want to pause here to heave a happy sigh). And as it's along the Côte de Granit-Rose, it's a given that the surrounds are pretty stellar too...

On-site amenities include a laundry room, grocery store, two toilets blocks, a playground and facilities for table tennis, table football, badminton and pétanque. The Camping Les 7 Îles restaurant dishes up moules-frites as well as other seafood and many other dishes throughout the day, and holds a popular theme night every Friday.

And those shellfish-finding expeditions? Find them from the site every Wednesday, weather and tides permitting.

Position - absolutely on the coast - our pitch was bounded at the back by the sea wall, view - amazing day/night/rain & sun, closeness - easily walkable - to the delightful little village. Very pleasant helpful staff. Right on the long distance path.

    Disliked:

No toilet paper or hand dryers in the toilets ... you soon got used to ensuring there was some in you pocket!

Fantastic location! Brilliant views looking the stunning Pink Granite Brittany Coast! Couldn't be any closer to the beaches. Lovely level open pitches, some hedge/privacy protection and well maintained service areas! Very helpful English speaking staff.
Small restaurant on site, nice French menus at reasonable price.Pretty Bretton villages on the doorstep.Daily bread deliveries .
    Perfect for coastal walking .

    Disliked:

The hill into the village involves a bit of a climb / cycle ... but the views from the top are well worth it!

Beautiful stretch of coastline, great pitches07/08/2019

Spectacular coastline & beach is beautiful. Came across this by chance & only stayed for 2 nights en route to another area but hope to return for a longer stay. Pitch sizes are very good, facilities a little basic but clean & plenty of hot water. Indoor pool is great but can get a little crowded. So many beautiful walks along the shore. Nice little town but a steepish hill to go up. Very quiet site.

    Disliked:

Ordered 8 croissants & 2 baguettes from the shop which came to €11, which we felt was a little expensive!!
Also they tried to charge us twice for our tourism tax, which we paid on arrival - hold on to your receipts!!
No loo roll provided so have to walk to the toilet block with your own bed under your arm, which we thought was quite funny really!!
Not much for older children for entertainment except a table tennis table.

We liked its close proximity to the sea and the water is easily reached. Although it is mostly a pebbly beach, there is a sizable sandy area. The campsite does have a pool, which was well maintained. We didn't use it as we are hardy sea swimmers.

All the staff we met were very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed good food at the bar and restaurant on our final night.

The toilet and shower block was clean, light and airy.

    Disliked:

There are high hedges between plots to give privacy, which is great. However, many visitors seem to see this as a test to see how many caravans, tents, cars and trailers they can cram into their 10x10m "cubicle". Often vehicles spilled onto the access path between pitches and the result was that the campsite did feel cramped. The next campsite we stayed at did have a rule on the maximum "assets" on a single pitch.

No toilet seats or toilet paper.

The beautiful setting, right in the edge of the coast line, gorgeous sunsets, exceptionally welcoming staff (English speaking really helped). We cycled over to Perros Guirec with a dog, lovely cycle lanes all the way.
Clean facilities, nice little restaurant. Lovely relaxing stay.

Local attractions

This is also prime hiking and biking locale, as the GR 34 footpath or Brittany Coastal Path (following the steps of former coastguards in the 17th and 18th centuries) starts about 100 metres from Camping Les 7 Îles.

The Pink Granite Coast, running from Perros Guirec to Trégastel, is about 10 kilometres from Camping Les 7 Îles's local town of Trélévern and should be tramped as far as poss for its selfie opps against oddly shaped rock formations.

Beaches, boating and windsurfing are all available locally, along with sea fishing off the coast and two trout fishing streams at Trélévern. The town is also a Brittany pétanque stronghold, so be sure to practise your ball-hitting skills while on site...
