If you’re off to Perros-Guirec, chances are you’re keen for a beach trip or few while you’re there. If so, you’ll certainly want to take a good look at the excellent setting of Domaine de Trestraou – this family-friendly site is in a peaceful wooded spot about 150 metres from the town’s splendidly sandy Trestraou beach. Being right by the beach means you can stroll over there whenever you wish – for a paddle, a swim, a picnic or a sunset stroll. There are also plenty of beachside activities for more energetic types – including games of tennis and miniature golf (for an extra charge). The site also has volleyball, table tennis, table football, a trampoline and a play area, so it’s safe to say no one is likely to get bored here… On top of all this, it’s only a short walk to places like the local casino and the boarding point for boat trips to the Sept-Îles bird sanctuary, or to pick up the GR34 hiking path – the ‘Sentier des Douaniers’, which winds its way along the Pink Granite Coast. And if all that sounds rather too tiring, you may also like to know there’s a thalassotherapy centre a few minutes’ walk away, along with several restaurants for long leisurely lunches. The town centre is about a kilometre from the site, but you won’t have to go that far for supplies as there are various shops nearby including a supermarket and bakery. Handy facilities on site include a launderette, a chemical disposal point and three separate bathroom blocks with accessible facilities.

Liked Great location to beach, and restaurants.
Plenty of amenities- showers toilets etc.

Disliked Satnav does not take you straight there. Takes a bit of figuring out to find the correct turning.
Water in showers were cold sometimes ( inconsistent)

Liked Eigentlich alles! Der (perfekt deutschsprechende!) Chef an der Rezeption gibt einem im Schnelldurchlauf alle Informationen zum Platz und zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten um den Ort. Habe alles angesehen und war begeistert.
Das gesamte Personal ist sehr freundlich.
Die Sanitäranlagen sind zweckmäßig gestaltet, aber immer sauber!
Und noch ein Wort zu den Mülltonnen. Wenn da jemand Bilder von überquellenden ins Netz stellt: Ja, sonntags abends nach dem Wochenende und einem komplett vollen Platz ist das so!
Montags direkt um 9 Uhr werden sie geleert! Wo liegt denn da eigentlich das Problem?
Ich jedenfalls hab mich sehr wohl gefühlt.
Gerne wieder!

Liked The central location and access to the beach and coast path
Large pitches
Hedgerows full of birds
Good sized shower cubicles and decent showers
Clean toilets.

Disliked The noise from the nearby building site - not the owners fault but it detracted from the quiet peaceful experience.
There was no hot water for one whole day and no warning notices before stripping off for a shower.
The taps on the washing up sinks timed out after a few seconds which was very annoying.

Local attractions

This stretch of coastline is known as the Pink Granite Coast – and you’ll soon see why if you head out to some of the nearby viewpoints and beaches. The beach by the site may well detain you for some time (especially if you’ve brought the kids) but it’s well worth setting off to see other hotspots like Plage de Trestrignel (10 minutes’ drive) and Plage des Dunes (25 minutes) if you can. Other ways to take in the scenery include boat trips to the Sept-Îles bird sanctuary and walks along the GR 34 coastal trail – the section from Perros-Guirec to Ploumanac’h is particularly pretty. A little further afield, boat trips from L’Arcouest (50 minutes) will take you to Île-de-Bréhat. For other outings, head to towns like Lannion (20 minutes) and Tréguier (25 minutes) or wander among the ‘hanging houses’ of Morlaix (an hour). You might also like to see one of the world’s first satellite antennas at Le Radôme - Cité des Télécoms (15 minutes) or take an arty walk through Parc des sculptures Christian Gad et Daniel Chhé (five minutes).
