If angling’s your thing – or ambling, cycling, city-based stuff (walking tours, museums, galleries, fine French eateries and a whole heap of shops) or lolling around on a riverside beach – then this site might well be what you’re after. Previous guests of Camping de Nevers hail its main highlights as being several: it’s got direct access to the Loire river for pike, perch and carp fishing opps; it’s right near the Santiago de Compostela walking route for visits to St. Bernadette's Shrine; and it’s a mere few minutes’ walk over the Loire into Nevers city centre. There’s also a skateboard and BMX park 100 metres from the site entrance, as well as a miniature golf course and a skydiving spot both near each other within six kilometres. For your on-site merriment, a volleyball and badminton court is on hand for gently competitive sporting pursuits, as well as a pétanque pitch for something a little more sedentary; pétanque tournaments are held regularly throughout July and August too for a fun and minglesome time with other guests. When it comes to the amusement of small people, the playground is a tiptop spot at the resort. For siteside eats, the snack bar is open from May to September and takes daily orders for bread and croissants to help set you up for your days of wandering the streets and squares of Nevers. The site’s spacious pitches are separated by hedges and lie under the shade of mature and lushly leafy trees; among the amenities are a laundry and ironing area plus a free wifi service that can be accessed at the welcome desk all year round (and in the snack bar during peak season).

Due to its ravishing riverside locale right near the city sights of Nevers, lots of outdoor activity and sightseeing opps await nearby. First off, Camping de Nevers lies on the pilgrimage Santiago de Compostela route for visits to St. Bernadette's Shrine – you can join a cycling trail along the river and canals 500 metres away, and a walking trail lies around a kilometre from base too. For further outdoor amusement you can fish in the river and hire canoes and kayaks nearby, and there’s a skatepark and BMX park a mere 100 metres away where skilled small people with the right kit can demo their skills among the rails, jumps and halfpipes. Steelier souls might also be interested to learn that there’s a skydiving centre six kilometres from the resort Walk less than 15 minutes into the centre of Nevers and you’ll reach the city’s main shopping street, Rue Francois Mitterand, for window/actual shopping, people-watching from café terraces and sampling the city’s sweet treats (many patisseries, crêperies and chocolatiers are around here). Also in the city is a miniature golf course and bowling alley for littlies’ entertainment, as well as a casino for grownups and a whole heap of bars, restaurants, museums and galleries.

All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
