The Côte Fleurie’s family-friendly Camping du Golf is on the outskirts of the historic seaside town of Dives-sur-Mer; it’s an hour’s drive from Le Havre for anyone crossing the Channel, and only two hours by car from Paris. A handy spot indeed, and it also makes a great base for exploring gorgeous Normandy, with D-Day Landing beaches and Honfleur both within 45 minutes’ drive. On-site features for families include a heated indoor pool with sun deck, plus a bouncy castle, a mini golf course and pétanque courts. You can also play table tennis, table football and pool at the games room, and in the summer holidays you have the option of evening entertainment like karaoke, foam parties and dance nights in the bar/restaurant. For a tasty breakfast you can order baked goodies for the following day between April and September. Useful family-friendly facilities include a baby-changing room, a laundry service with a coin-operated washing machine and dryer, and baby equipment like high chairs and cots available to hire. The Côte Fleurie beaches at Houlgate and Cabourg are both about 10 minutes’ drive away (there's no beach shuttle service so a car is required when staying here); both resort towns also have supermarkets and restaurants.

Disliked J ai pas aimé les activités qu'on était proposée il changer les activités sans ce que les campeur chercher ici problème c est les ancien du camping qui décide de tout
La nuit les voisin ne respecter pas les gens qui avaient des enfants
Faire de la mécanique sans venir voir pour dire qui l aller faire du bruit c est respect
On jouer au boulle de pétanque on nous lance pied de parasol sur le terrain et sans allumer la lumière du terrain que je trouve pas normal

- Fin, stor og privat pitch med hække optil naboerne.
- En "lille have", hvor vi kunne side samtidig med plads til bil og telt (4 pers.).
- Heldig placering, da vi var længst væk fra "baren" (forvent ikke for meget, den er lige præcist hvad man kan forvente af en bar på en campingplads).

2) Sanitære forhold
- Billederne er repræsentative for udseendet af faciliteterne.
- Mulighed for selv at justere temperaturen af vandet.

Disliked 1) Sanitære forhold
- Per skurvogn er der kun 3 toiletter (2/3 virket) og brusere, hvorfor der generelt var kø.
- Bruserne og toiletterne er i samme rum, hvorfor alle former for badeværelsesaktiviteter kunne høres og lugtes.
- Gulvet var ustabilt både inden i skurvognen og ude foran, hvor fliserne var løse.
- Septiktanke skal tømmes ved samme skurvogn, hvor bad, toiletter og køkkenvaskene er placeret. Der var derfor uhensigtsmæssigt stank af rådn kloak. Værst var det for mændene, da udtømning skete lige ved siden af pissoiret.

2) Misvisende billeder af campingpladsen
- Billederne viser fint, hvordan det måske engang har set ud. Dog er der mange fastboer som har installeret skideskurer, fronttelte, osv., hvilket ændre pladsens luksuriøse look til mere at minde om en trailerpark.
- Vi så ikke et puslerum ved de sanitære forhold.
- Én af billederne antyder, at man kan se stranden, hvis man kigger henover en mark. Det eneste vi kunne se var en slidt lade med én ko og én hest som græsset.

3) Larm til over midnat (mindre børnevenligt)

4) Husk en forlængerledning til strøm, da der er stor afstand til hver strømudtagning (ca. 30 meter i vores tilfælde).

Disliked It was very difficult to get our camper van in and out of the pitch due to the narrow roads which accessed it
There was no soap or toilet paper in the toilets and no hot water in the washing up area. Also the tap on the water near the pitch was switched off. On arrival, reception opened 15 minutes after the scheduled opening time, leaving several families waiting outside in the heat.

Local attractions

Depending on your family interests, you can head straight for the Côte Fleurie beaches at Houlgate – known for kitesurfing and wingfoiling – or Cabourg, backed by handsome Belle Époque houses and with shallow water suitable for families with young kids. They’re both around 10 minutes’ drive. You can also bask on the white sand at upscale Deauville (25 minutes' drive), which has a famed boardwalk lined with Art Deco beach cabins. World War II history buffs can be at Sword Beach within 45 minutes’ drive; a vintage tank and seafront memorial plaques commemorate the D-Day Landings in June 1944. You can also see the concrete remains of the artificial Mulberry Harbour at Gold Beach and admire the commemorative steel sculpture in the sea at Omaha Beach (both an hour). On more light-hearted days out, eat your fill of fresh seafood in the harbourside restaurants of pretty Honfleur (35 minutes). Otherwise, go shopping for local ciders, Calvados and Camembert cheese at the Village d’Art Guillaume-le-Conquérant (five minutes), once a 15th-century coaching inn and now a half-timbered, Norman-themed shopping hub with an antiques centre and pottery workshops.
