Domaine Les Teuillères

Around this area known as the Jardin du Ségala, with lush forests, deep valleys and rocky outcrops galore, wanders are never far away: set off on a stroll from Latouille-Lentillac (a 20-minute drive) up through woodland with artsy sculptures dotted around. The whole Midi-Pyrénées area is a place of caves, châteaux and markets… take a scenic drive around the region to see sights like Le Saut Grand waterfall (20 minutes), dropping by historical villages enroute, or head towards Causses du Quercy Natural Regional Park (an hour’s journey by car) for adventures of the caving, canyoning, abseiling and climbing sort. If you’d rather skip scaling the walls and see critters swing from tree to tree instead, meander over to Monkey Forest (55 minutes away) to watch the free-roaming macaques. Other creatures are the same distance away at the Animal Park of Gramat and you can witness slithering lizards et al at Reptiland within an hour.
