The location is lovely and within a few minutes walk to the medieval district of Sarlat.
Good facilities including indoor and outdoor pool + tennis court.
Shower, toilet, wash up facilities excellent and very clean (best we've experienced on our trip).

    Disliked:

The pool area looks tired, lots of loose tiles around the pool which are a hazard for kids. The toddlers pool was dirty.
The pitch was little more than a gravel drive way with no partition or perimeter markings from the other pitches. Fortunately our neighbours were very friendly and we had a good time, but for those seeking privacy this is not the site for you.

Local attractions

Visit the medieval town of Sarlat – only a shot walk away – to see its small alleys, vaulted passageways, the cathedral and the fifteenth and sixteenth century mansions.

Another exceptional medieval village is Beynac (12km) and its fortress.

Castelnaud (13km) and its castle with the view over the valley of the Dordogne, Beynac, Marqueyssac and Roque Gageac.

Also worth visiting is Roque Gageac (13km) with its ochre and white façades, and narrow little streets that lead to the foot of the cliff, where you can enjoy stunning views over the river.

Head to Domme (14km), Vézac (just nine kilometres away) or Vitrac (only eight kilometres from the campsite) to taste the local gastronomy.

Hire a canoe or take a trip in a traditional gabare boat and admire Perigord's most prestigious castles from the river, including Montfort, Castelnaud, Fayrac, Beynac and Milandes.

For a relaxing break, you can go down to one of the beaches on the Dordogne at Carsac Aillac (nine kilometres), Castelnaud (13km), La Roque Gageac (13km), St Vincent de Cosse (14km) or St Julien de Lampon (17km)
