What customers say
This exceptionally clean and well-maintained campsite offers a friendly, relaxed atmosphere with helpful owners. Guests praise the lovely pool, excellent sanitary facilities, and the convenience of on-site food trucks and bread ordering. Pitches are a good size, offering a mix of sun and shade, and the location is ideal for exploring the Dordogne. While Wi-Fi can be temperamental and some found breakfast collection times late, the overall experience is highly positive, with many planning return visits.

Electric optional grass pitch (supreme)
Liked The cleanliness of the facilities was a huge plus for my family and I ,constantly being cleaned thoroughly and well looked after! The bar area was great, really calm atmosphere with excellent service plus the food trucks most evenings was a really nice touch.
The pitch was well looked after, brilliant size and close enough to everything we needed.
The pool was brilliant (and well used by us!) with plenty of space around it,lots of parasols for shade if needed and so clean!
We definitely recommend this site as a base to explore some beautiful parts of the Dordogne and would absolutely return again!
Thank you to Team Mathevies for working hard to make our stay so enjoyable!

We usually stay on tiny campsites…
Electric optional grass pitch (supreme)
Liked We usually stay on tiny campsites so we’re worried about staying on a larger site. However, the pitch we were on was quite secluded and very quiet.
The pool wasn’t overcrowded and the bar/restaurant had a really lovely feel to it. The site feels very safe so the kids wandered up to the playground and cafe on their own.
They have pop-up food stalls each night which are amazing, alongside their own offerings. The restaurant’s own pizza’s, homemade flapjacks and icecream coffee/chocolate milk are fab too!
The owners and staff are really friendly and helpful. There’s lots of info available about what to do locally. There’s also tennis and table tennis on site.
We spent far more time on the campsite than we thought we would, often staying there for dinner rather than going out, because it was so lovely.
The location is also great, as it’s a short drive to Sarlat and lots of activities e.g. canoeing, gardens/castles

Excellent, pretty, well-run, family-friendly site.
Electric optional grass pitch (supreme)
Liked This is a gorgeous, very well run campsite, with a lovely ambience and very clean facilities. The owners and staff are very friendly and couldn't be more helpful. We really liked the terrace with its bar and you can also get a coffee throughout the day. The food trucks each day were very welcome and offered a good range of different foods, e.g. Indian, Moroccan, fish and chips, pizza. The site is also very family friendly and the pool is lovely.
Disliked As a retired couple, we found the site very busy, but that's because of the time of year we came. If we were to come again, it would be outside of school holidays!!

Disliked 9am was a bit late for collecting breakfast. Works have liked the option to collect earlier.
