Three of Les Plus Beaux Villages de France (so-called 'the most beautiful villages of France') are within a short drive of Camping le Céou, nearby the village of Saint-Cybranet in the Dordogne. And as there are only 150 or so of these villages in the whole of the country, that's mighty handy for those who like old and handsome buildings… Camping le Céou is also only 20 minutes' drive away from Sarlat-la-Canéda and is set by the Céou river, so is a stunning base all round to get stuck into the culture, history and cuisine of this Dordogne river valley and Périgord Noir region. There's plenty to do on site too, such as spending some hours at the outdoor pool, where there is a paddling pool and a waterslide for the kids. Other ways to let off steam include bringing the children to the kids' club and evening entertainment, or unwinding at the games and TV room. Snacks and drinks are covered at the on-site restaurant, takeaway and shop. Amenities are in the toilet and shower block, which has hot water, baby changing facilities, a washing-up area and a launderette.

Liked Le personnel est sympa et très bon accueil, dispo si besoin & rapide !

Disliked Le camping est coupé en 2 par une route et les sanitaires étaient en bas, nous en haut (en tente) dommage de ne pas mettre toutes les tentes regroupés proche sanitaire et les mobil-home en haut
Pas de poubelles dans les allées, les sanitaires (WC) très sales. La piscine n'a pas de pédiluve, personne ne se rince les pieds, elle est abîmée mais elle nous a bien rafraîchit

Nice site. 1 chalet and one tent in use, so really quiet. Well managed site with brand new sanitary block. Restaurant/shop both closed. Excellent walk down to the nearby river. Manager super helpful, suggesting best places to visit in the evening to watch the sunset! Would go back.

Liked Situation géographique dans la région, proche des plus sites à visiter . Gérant très accueillant et je lui souhaite du courage de travailler dans les conditions du camping. Le pauvre doit subir les réflexions des clients mécontents par le manque d'entretien du camping

Disliked L'état de la piscine, délabrement limite de l'insécurité, Idem au niveau hygiène de la piscine. Je vais joindre des photos. Ne parlons pas du toboggan de la piscine, aucune sécurité, l'escalier en bois est pourri, quand au toboggan il bouge dans tous les sens lorsqu'un enfant descend celui ci, je ne laisserai pas mes enfants l'utiliser. Une douche sur 4 qui fonctionne, très léger au vu du nombre de campeurs. Très dommage, avec de l'entretien, ce camping serait génial.

Nous sommes conscients que certaines installations, notamment la piscine, mériteraient une rénovation. Sa remise en état est d’ailleurs prévue, car nous avons bien conscience de son ancienneté. Cela dit, la sécurité reste une priorité pour nous : tout au long de la saison, nous avons effectué des contrôles réguliers sur les équipements, y compris le toboggan, qui a été resserré et surveillé afin d’assurer son bon fonctionnement.

Concernant les douches, les réparations nécessaires ont été effectuées progressivement au cours de la semaine.

Merci pour vos mots concernant le gérant.

Nous regrettons que votre expérience n’ait pas été à la hauteur de vos attentes, et nous prenons vos remarques très au sérieux pour continuer à améliorer notre camping.

Those three oh-so-beautiful villages previously mentioned are all a short distance from local village Saint-Cybranet: 13th-century Domme (15 minutes' drive) and the riverside La Roque-Gageac (10 minutes), as well as the riverside and hillside Beynac-et-Cazenac (10 minutes). It's much recommended to visit them all: you'll see why when you get there… Other top tourist attractions in the area are all easy to get to from Camping le Céou, like the Paleolithic cave paintings of the Lascaux caves complex (40 minutes), the spectacular cliffside town Rocamadour (an hour) and the town of Castelnaud-la-Chapelle (10 minutes). You could go on a barge ride or visit the Château de Beynac (15 minutes), see the old town centre of Sarlat-la-Canéda (20 minutes), or, further afield, get sporty with canoeing, tree climbing, paintball, climbing and hiking. An aquarium is in the town of Le Bugue (35 minutes).

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Dogs

A valid vaccination certificate must accompany your dog.
Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
