Set in the mountains of Steiermark, Bella Austria is within easy reach of several swimming lakes, and is among the mountain and forest paths for cycling (hire a bike from reception). Facilities on site include a heated lagoon pool with shallow waters, open over the summer months; a playground, and a sports area for football and volleyball. A variety of activities and entertainment running throughout the week during high season: horse riding, paragliding, arts and crafts clubs and activities for kids are all on offer. The site facilities block has free hot showers, baby changing facilities and disabled access.

Liked The location of the site, nestled in a valley the area was idyllic and very peaceful. Not too far away from the waterfall which was worth the visit also.

The children particularly enjoyed the animals they have on site along with the playground and swimming pool. Cleaning facilities were decent too.

Liked Very friendly receptionist, we stayed just after Easter and the site was very quiet. Toilets and showers were clean. We didn’t use the restaurant or shop.

Disliked Hot water took a while to come through in both showers and washing up area. Receptionist said it was because they’d only been open a few days after winter closure.

Disliked Es kommt darauf an was man will, wir waren nicht zufrieden. Die Sanitäranlagen sind in die Jahre gekommen und es war auch nicht wirklich sauber. Wir haben 4 Nächte bezahlt und sind nach 2 wieder gefahren.

Liked Lovely campsite. Great pool. Good size pitch and grassy. Helpful staff. Good washing machines.

Disliked Lots of holiday homes on the campsite (more than camping pitches). This meant it was really busy and I feel they don’t have the same respect for those who are camping. Toilet, showers and dishwashing area were often used, not only campers, but holiday let families therefore facilities were busy and despite being cleaned where often found in a dirty state (sand all in the washing up sinks from children filling busket from the sand pit and going and getting water from the sinks). Over all this didn’t ruin our holiday and the campsite was nice but personally I prefer a campsite which is mainly campers.
The swimming pool was great and I felt my children were safe in there but pool was too small for the amount of people staying on site. You could hardly move in it. Children enjoyed it though. Couldn’t really go anywhere off the campsite without the van however we had great days out in Murau and High ropes
