Liked The amazing views, lots of space, great walking from the campsite and very friendly and helpful host. The zoo was a bonus too. The road is very quiet.

Liked well maintained clean campsite, friendly staff, really quiet and amazing views! Only downside is that there si no on-site resturant/buffet so you need to cook for yourself :) not a big deal… Its definitely worth coming here!

Perhaps begin with a drive to Mariazell (25 minutes’ drive) for Salza Valley scenery and a stroll around to gawp at the historic sites in this popular pilgrimage destination. For those who like to go wild swimming, Erlaufsee (half an hour) is a stunning mountain lake where you will certainly get a refreshing dip. The beach has two waterslides and a kids’ playground. The lake also has a boat rental place (with paddleboards up for grabs too) and a diving school. Like a hearty dose of adrenaline? Right next to the hiking trails on Hennesteck, there's a zipwiring centre called Zipline Annaberg (25 minutes), whose wire runs parallel to the mountain chairlift. Reaching up to 75 kilometres per hour, this zipwire is all about taking in the mountain scenery at speed. Maybe you only have a couple of hours to squeeze in another activity. If so, try the Schleierwasserfall (15 minutes), a gorgeous waterfall just a short walk away from the road.
