Liked Super schöner Platz. Wir haben hier nur Zwischenstopp gemacht. Der Platz hat aber sehr viel zu bieten - liebevoll gestaltete Kinderspielplätze und Beschäftigungsmöglichkeiten sowie verschiedene Wassersportaktivitäten möglich. Restaurant vor Ort. Sehr nettes Personal. Wir wurden sehr freundlich begrüßt.

Liked Wat een leuke familie camping, lekker klein. Perfecte locatie in de natuur. We hebben er ook erg lekker gegeten. We hebben deze camping gebruikt voor onze doorreis. Wij gaan hier zeker terugkomen om gebruik te maken van de Oostenrijkse gastvrijheid, het lekkere eten voor onze doorreizen in de toekomst.

Disliked Helemaal niets waar we niet blij mee waren.

Liked The campsite was in a lovely location with some stunning scenery and nice walks.
The food in the restaurant was lovely and served very quickly.
I liked that you were allowed to choose your own pitch anywhere you liked.
The young girl working in the restaurant was lovely and although she was obviously busy she still took the time to speak to me.

Disliked The facilities were quite dated and depending on when you used them they weren’t always very clean.

Liked Location and size of campsite were great. Level pitches next to river with fantastic mountain views. Facilities were good and kept clean. Nice restaurant on site serving traditional home cooked food.

Disliked The pitch areas were not defined so those needing a hook up point were within close proximity to each other, when there was plenty of space to spread out. This became problematic when you drive away for the day and come back to a new neighbour and you can't get your vehicle back into its spot.

Smaller wash block could do with some updates, and toilet cubicles made larger.

Local attractions

If you've come along for adventure, you're in the right place. Rafting and canyoning excursions can be organised on site and there are heaps of hikes in the surrounding area from gentle wanders to proper challenges (tackling the national park’s seven summits, anyone?) A couple of great options nearby are the gorges Groppensteinschlucht (half an hour's walk) and Raggaschlucht (10 minutes' drive). Getting higher up, the ski resort of Mölltaler Gletscher (20 minutes) is a nice place for a hike in summer, with a popular glass-walled restaurant where you can soak up the views over a meal. Alternatively, see some of the landscapes from above while riding the cable car to Ankogel (25 minutes). For more scenery spotting, visit Falkenstein Castle (10 minutes) and Mauterndorf Castle (an hour) or meander past the Millstätter See (35 minutes), the second-largest lake in Carinthia.
