  • Smart bell tent glamping on a private working smallholding
  • In rural Pembrokeshire, a mile from Upton Castle Gardens
  • Sheep, chickens and dogs on site; next to a nature pond
Mighty Oak Camping is a green and glorious spot for a getaway in rural Pembrokeshire. With just a couple of smart bell tents set up in a quiet corner of a family-run smallholding, the site is on the edge of a village, within easy reach of a popular local gastropub. Each tent sleeps up to four guests and comes with a logburning stove and a barbecue, as well as proper bedding and cosy interiors that'll make you feel right at home in no time at all. For a small fee, the site can provide charcoal for the barbecue and firewood for the firepit. Nearby, the site's chickens, sheep and farm dogs will be out and about, and if you like, you can feed the chickens and help collect their eggs. As there's also a nature pond right next door, you'll be sure to see some of the local area’s stunning birdlife. From Mighty Oak Camping it's under a mile to the pleasant village of Cocheston; Upton Castle and its splendid gardens are roughly a mile in the other direction. This site has access to composting toilet facilities, as well as showers and a shared cooking area (with communal utensils).

The Bullfinches bell tent

Liked Upon our arrival at Mighty Oak were met by Mark the very friendly and helpful owner. Mark provided us with a detailed overview of the area and all the nearby facilities and amenities. The campsite is well equipped and has everything you require for a comfortable stay. The tents are really spacious and very cosy. Our children had the most awesome time playing in the fields surrounding the campsite and swinging on the swing. They also enjoyed the chickens and sheep. A highlight of the stay was when they fed the chickens with Mark. We spent many happy hours around the wood burner in the evening, enjoying the peace and tranquillity of our surroundings. Many thanks to Mark for everything, we would highly recommend Might Oak to others and hope to be back soon.

Woodpecker bell tent

Liked The site was perfect for our family, safe, secure, friendly and it had everything that we needed and more. Mike was a great host and went out of his way to make sure we had an enjoyable stay. Everything was spotlessly clean and well looked after, we didn’t want to leave! We highly recommend and can’t wait to book our next stay x
