Shortlands Farm Campsite with sea views, only a short walk to the beach at Druidston Haven.
All pitches have a sea view
Camping field without electric, spacious pitches round the edge of a large field with sea views.
Non-electric camping pitch for tents and small vans

  • Simple pitches on a 29-acre family farm overlooking St Brides Bay
  • A 10-minute drive to Newgale beach; 25 minutes to St Davids
  • Walk to dog-friendly Druidston Haven beach in 15 minutes
Even in a region as blessed with fabulous views as Pembrokeshire, Shortlands Farm stands out – the Ledwith family’s 29-acre farm looks out over St Brides Bay, and camping guests have sea views from every pitch on site. This splendid spot is just a few minutes’ walk from Druidston Haven beach, one of the quieter parts of the Pembrokeshire coastline with sandy stretches, rockpools and soaring cliffs to take in (and it welcomes dogs all year round – good news if you've got a hound that needs a holiday). The Pembrokeshire Coast Path passes by too, so you can take a stroll to other places like Broad Haven and Little Haven for more beaches and some seafront places to eat. The pitches are generously spaced around the edge of the field, so you’ll have plenty of space to spread out and set up your barbecue or firepit for an evening grill while you watch the sunset over the sea. Dogs are welcome to join in the fun, as are families – there’s lots of space set aside for kids (and adults…) to play in the field. For practicalities like supermarket shopping you may like to head into Haverfordwest (10 minutes’ drive), or you could walk to the local farm shop at Nolton Cross for foodie supplies (15 minutes).

What customers say

This peaceful campsite offers stunning sea views and spacious, well-maintained pitches. Guests praised the cleanliness of the facilities, proximity to the beach and coastal path, and value for money. Minor concerns included the unisex nature of the toilet/shower block, occasional queues, and the condition of the access lane. Overall, it's highly recommended for its location and tranquil atmosphere.

Non-electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Amazing sea views and each pitch had tonnes of space. It was quiet, friendly, easy. Washroom was clean and well equipped. In terms of location, it's a stone's throw from the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, so it's incredibly beautiful. And not far from great towns with fab fish & chips!

Disliked Our only negative, and we knew this before we went, so it shouldn't put anyone off, is the unisex bathrooms. Whilst in principal unisex is fine, it was a bit weird. And they were clean, but only 3 toilets and 3 showers.

Non-electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked A lovely clean site with large pitches and great views

Disliked It wasn’t overly busy so the facilities weren’t an issue, but would imagine it would be a struggle during peak season. Total: 3 showers, 3 toilets, 2 sinks to accommodate tent and motor home pitches

Non-electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Great value for money. Had everything you would need for a camp site. Facilities were clean and plenty of space. Drinking water available on site and sinks outside to clean your dishes. Also had a freezer and charging ports available. Beautiful sea views and a very short walking distance to the beach. Would highly recommend.

Local attractions

Pembrokeshire’s perhaps most well known for its stunning coastline (there’s a good reason why it’s home to the UK’s only national park dedicated entirely to coastal landscapes…) A good place for Shortlands Farm guests to start is Newgale beach (10 minutes’ drive) – it’s got great waves for surfers (plus kit hire and lessons) but it’s also a great place for a stroll or paddle. Stop by too at Broad Haven (10 minutes) and the pretty harbour at Solva (20 minutes) en route to St Davids (25 minutes). The UK’s smallest city has some lovely shops and cafés to visit between tours of the cathedral and Bishop’s Palace, and it’s also the launch point for boat trips to Ramsey Island to see sea birds and seals. If the kids need something different from scenery chasing, try Dr Beynon’s Bug Farm (25 minutes) or bigger animal encounters at Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo (35 minutes).
