What customers say
This is a beautifully secluded campsite, praised for its huge, well-spaced pitches with fire pits and picnic benches. It offers a safe environment, a lovely beach within walking distance, and beautiful local walks. While some found the shower cubicle design allowed water to spray out, and WiFi is limited to communal areas, the campsite boasts clean toilets, hot showers, and dishwashing facilities. The rural location offers peace, though some guests preferred more personal check-in interaction. A narrow access lane and occasional campervan pitch privacy concerns were noted, but generally, the site is considered clean, private, and well-organised, ideal for families and smaller campervans.

One of my favourite campsites. And I’ve stayed in many!
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Beautiful campsite. Pitches were huge with a fire pit and picnic bench provided.
The campsite felt beautifully secluded but not isolating. As a female camping on my own I felt very safe :) Walk to the sea, and the beach itself was lovely! My phone reception was bad but the campsite has WiFi in the communal area. There was also a charging station, dish washing area as well as clean toilets and hot showers!
So many beautiful walks close by and amazing sunsets. Keep an ear out for the hedgehogs!! I will definitely return!
Disliked Not a dislike particularly but as others have mentioned the shower situation is a little unusual. On one occasion, whilst on the toilet my feet got quite wet from the person showering next door. Not a reason to not stay though!!!
I felt lucky as my pitch was closer to the communal area. It might be a little bit of a trek for some to reach the pitches further away with the wheelbarrow. Might be something to consider when booking.

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Lovely clean quiet campsite. Pitches are massive and well spaced for privacy. Toilet block was kept clean. Left to get on with your holiday but a number left if you needed anything.
Disliked Showers would spray water under the cubicle getting you wet while using the toilet. Slight design flaw but nothing major

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Rural quiet location, showers, pitch sizes and not too close together
Disliked never saw anyone, no check in or out available, no person on site that I saw to ask or get advise, my daughter had to contact through phone for wood, prefer personal touch.

From the manager: Hi Ian, thanks for your review and we're pleased you liked the large private pitches which give lots of privacy. So sorry you didnt see anyone. When its quiet we leave campers to enjoy their holiday in peace. There is a sign saying please do message me and I'll pop straight over to speak to campers and also sell logs for your camp fire! Sorry we missed you!
Thank you Sophie

Great for camping families and small camper vans.
Non-electric grass and gravel campervan pitch
Liked Location, only 10 miles from St. Davids.
Peaceful.
Close to beach & woolen mill with cafe that does a fantastic breakfast.
Great for camping families as tent pitches are far apart & mostly secluded.
WiFi available in car park area.
Good, clean toilet and shower block.
Disliked Very narrow access lane to site, only suitable for small camper vans.
The camper van pitches are next to the car park, so not much privacy as people are walking through your pitch.
The site is on a slope, so levels are essential.

From the manager: Hi Phil,
thank you for your review.
We are delighted you enjoyed the super clean bathrooms with their lovely warm power showers all run from our air source heat pump, plus the beautiful walk from the campsite through the bluebell woods to our local wild beach at Abermawr.
We are sorry you didn't like driving down the lane - most people don't find it a problem and its the charm of rural Wales and beautiful Pembrokeshire with its many narrow lanes, and its actually very much usable for a campervan as the milk tanker drives up and down daily to the neighbouring farm!
We are also sorry you were inconvenienced by tent campers taking a short-cut through your pitch. They shouldnt do this and its not necessary as there is a clear path from the car park to access the camping field for people to walk, without going across the top part of your large campervan pitch.
The campervan pitches are usually well liked as they are private so large with a large gravel area for the van and also a private large grassy area for awnings or pup tents too.
The WiFi is 25-30mg which is the most we can get in this rural coastal area but its perfectly adequate for most uses.
Thank you and best wishes Sophie
