Liked: Absolutely pretty much everything! Great views! Great pitches! Very well ran staff were lovely! Facilities were great

Disliked: The length to walk to the toilet:showers! And The bar/pizza bar only open weekend minus Sunday!

Liked: The pizzas were nice The shop was ok Facilities were ok The rain dripped through their courtyard shelter and didn't put the umbrellas up until after I was there. Coffe and cakes were nice. Washing up area was ok but could be bigger. Also a coat pegs would be useful.

Disliked: The shop would benifit from selling heaters and propane bottles. The wetsuit tub was horrible that could be improved. Need a none leaking shelter roof. Pizzas could be bigger. Maybe a path around the site so mud isnt a problem.

Liked: This place was a dream with the most beautiful views, the fields are lovely & big and we loved that they haven’t over crowded them. We had such stunning weather on Saturday felt like we could have been abroad The beach was stunning although if you struggle walking you won’t be able to get down but you’d be able to enjoy the views from above. Toilets & showers were nice & clean The shop sells the most nicest sausages rolls! (Wish we got some to take home) The coffee bar sells lush brownies Just a shame we had to cut our trip short as the husband fell ill but we can’t wait to return soon!

Liked: Fab campsite, great facilities and beautiful costal views. We had lovely pizza and an evening drink at the courtyard. Perfect location to the beach, a great place to stay with dogs. Staff were all friendly and very helpful. Would love to stay again!

Disliked: Toilets aren’t close to the beach view pitches.

Liked: Lovely campsite, staff friendly and well equipped facilities. Having the pizza place and cafe on site was a real bonus.

Disliked: Could have done with some toilets slightly closer to the campsite- one block is ambitious and it wasn’t even busy the weekend we were there!

Local attractions

This is heaven for beach buffs: Porthsele and Whitesands beaches are both within walking distance of Pencarnan. At Porthsele, take your pick from kayaking, surfing and paddleboarding from its sandy shore; if fishing's more your bag you can fish for mackerel, pollock and seabass from the beach and from certain points on the cliff around Pencarnan's land. There are also a few marked climbing spots around the cliffs on the land and some good entry points for coasteering or a coastal swim back to Porthsele beach… followed back at base with a sunset beach fire or barbecue to end the day. The famed surfing centre of Whitesands, a mile away on the coast path from Pencarnan, has a café, deckchairs and wetsuit hire, plus lifeguards in the summer months. Heading south, St Justinian’s (under a mile away along the coast path) is home to RNLI St Davids Lifeboat Station and a departure point for boat trips around, onto and beyond Ramsey Island to spy seals, seabirds, porpoises, whales, dolphins and sharks. Make time too for a trip to the tiny city of St Davids, to browse its shops and galleries and take a look at sixth-century St Davids Cathedral.

Booking terms and conditions

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
Guide dogs are allowed on site free of charge.

General

In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
Quiet hours must be respected between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m..
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.

Occupancy

No hen/stag parties permitted via Pitchup.com.

Pitches

Units should not be left unoccupied unless previously agreed with the management. Please speak to reception when the need arises, a fee may be charged for unsupervised units.
You must follow the management directives when pitching your tent/unit and related equipment.

Reception

Reception is open from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. between 01/03 and 14/07 and between 01/09 and 01/01.
Reception is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. between 15/07 and 31/08.

Safety

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.
Firearms are not permitted.
Open fires are prohibited.

Visitors

Visitors must register at reception and pay their fee.
