  • Peaceful and laidback site with stunning views across St Brides Bay
  • A five-minute drive to Newgale beach and 10 minutes to Solva harbour
  • Broad Haven, St Davids and Whitesands beach within 20 minutes
A sweet spot for walkers and families, or just about anyone who wants to while away the days in west Wales on a weekend or longer, Park Hall Village Caravan Park is a serene site on the edges of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. The views over St Brides Bay from the pitches are top-notch and the accessibility is even better – settling in here means you’ll be close to the pretty harbour village of Solva (10 minutes’ drive), the tiny city of St Davids (15 minutes) and brill beaches like Whitesands bay (20 minutes). Peaceful breaks are practically guaranteed at Park Hall too as there’s no rowdy clubhouse and the roads are tarmacked to reduce noise from traffic. Dogs are welcome but should be taken on walks off-site – let your four-legged pal pull you along to places like Newgale beach (five minutes), a two-mile-long surf spot with equipment to hire and lessons to take, or on the coastal paths around Broad Haven (20 minutes). For eats, there are plenty of pubs and restaurants within a 15-minute drive, but it's worth bringing your camping stove for alfresco meals. Facilities at the site are no-frills and include well-kept bathrooms, a laundry and a washing-up area.

This well-maintained site offers beautiful coastal views and is conveniently located for exploring local beaches and towns. Guests frequently praise the friendly and helpful site manager, Dave, and the consistently clean toilet and shower facilities. Pitches are generally spacious and flat, accommodating various caravan types. Local attractions

It’s all about the quiet life in this part of Pembrokeshire, with wholesome activities to fill your days including slow strolls on Newgale beach (five minutes’ drive) and Whitesands Bay (20 minutes), as well as restful wanders around the sheltered harbour in Solva. Britain’s smallest city, St Davids, is also in the area – head here to have a nose at the cathedral, the final resting place of the patron saint of Wales, and the ruins of the Bishop's Palace. Amble along the coastal path from here towards the Chapel of St Non, a mysterious undated church named after the saint’s mother, too. For more beach times there are plenty to pick from, but it’s especially advisable to bring the bucket and spade along to Barafundle Bay, a stretch of sand often voted one of the best in the UK. If wandering with wildlife is more your bag, jump on a boat at Marloes (35 minutes) to Skomer island in the hopes of seeing the puffins (between April and July). Closer to the park are creatures of the creepy-crawly kind at Dr Beynon's Bug Farm (15 minutes), an establishment dedicated to teaching visitors all about insects.
