  • Peaceful and laidback site with stunning views across St Brides Bay
  • A five-minute drive to Newgale beach and 10 minutes to Solva harbour
  • Broad Haven, St Davids and Whitesands beach within 20 minutes
A sweet spot for walkers and families, or just about anyone who wants to while away the days in west Wales on a weekend or longer, Park Hall Village Caravan Park is a serene site on the edges of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. The views over St Brides Bay from the pitches are top-notch and the accessibility is even better – settling in here means you’ll be close to the pretty harbour village of Solva (10 minutes’ drive), the tiny city of St Davids (15 minutes) and brill beaches like Whitesands bay (20 minutes). Peaceful breaks are practically guaranteed at Park Hall too as there’s no rowdy clubhouse and the roads are tarmacked to reduce noise from traffic. Dogs are welcome but should be taken on walks off-site – let your four-legged pal pull you along to places like Newgale beach (five minutes), a two-mile-long surf spot with equipment to hire and lessons to take, or on the coastal paths around Broad Haven (20 minutes). For eats, there are plenty of pubs and restaurants within a 15-minute drive, but it's worth bringing your camping stove for alfresco meals. Facilities at the site are no-frills and include well-kept bathrooms, a laundry and a washing-up area.

What customers say

This campsite is frequently praised for its friendly and helpful staff, particularly Dave, the site manager. Visitors highlight the immaculate cleanliness of the facilities, including toilets and showers. The location is considered excellent, offering beautiful coastal views and proximity to beaches and local attractions. Pitches are described as spacious and flat, accommodating various vehicles. Some minor issues mentioned include the occasional need for coins for showers, lack of on-site shops, and intermittent Wi-Fi. There is also a desire for a children's play area. Despite these points, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Nice camping ground

Disliked When we turned up we had to ring to inform we had arrived, waited half hour for someone to come and show us where we were pitching, and that took further 10 minutes of him walking us around to figure out where was free.
Showers were 20p for 4 minutes put 2x 20p at once and the machine swallowed the one 20p.
Facility’s were okay just normal camping not the best not the worst.

Liked It was a beautiful, clean and quiet camp site in a stunning location, Dave who run’s the site is so friendly and helpful.

Disliked Nothing, I should have packed my head torch for the late night toilet as the lights go off after a certain time but that was bad packing on my part.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Lovely quiet site. Very clean and well kept. Love that it’s small. Friendly guy who runs it too.

Disliked The toilets don’t have lights in when it gets dark so you have to use your phone light or a torch to go to the toilet of an evening!! And there is no lights at all on the camp site

Electric grass pitch

Liked Large pitches, very well kept. lovely man who greeted us on arrival. Only 10 minutes drive from Newgate beach.

Disliked you have to pay 20p for a 4 minute shower and you can’t pay via Apple Pay/bank cards it has to be a coin. Seeing as it cost £60 for 2 nights, I thought the cost of a shower would be included.
It doesn’t take away the fact it is a lovely campsite, well run and well kept.

Local attractions

It’s all about the quiet life in this part of Pembrokeshire, with wholesome activities to fill your days including slow strolls on Newgale beach (five minutes’ drive) and Whitesands Bay (20 minutes), as well as restful wanders around the sheltered harbour in Solva. Britain’s smallest city, St Davids, is also in the area – head here to have a nose at the cathedral, the final resting place of the patron saint of Wales, and the ruins of the Bishop's Palace. Amble along the coastal path from here towards the Chapel of St Non, a mysterious undated church named after the saint’s mother, too. For more beach times there are plenty to pick from, but it’s especially advisable to bring the bucket and spade along to Barafundle Bay, a stretch of sand often voted one of the best in the UK. If wandering with wildlife is more your bag, jump on a boat at Marloes (35 minutes) to Skomer island in the hopes of seeing the puffins (between April and July). Closer to the park are creatures of the creepy-crawly kind at Dr Beynon's Bug Farm (15 minutes), an establishment dedicated to teaching visitors all about insects.
