  • Peaceful, back-to-nature pop-up site 10 minutes’ drive from Llandeilo
  • Carreg Cennen and Bannau Brycheiniog National Park 20 minutes’ drive
  • Off-grid tree-shaded pitches; wildlife haven and Black Mountains views
Looking for peace, dramatic scenery and a back-to-nature vibe in West Wales? Add Red Pines Ranch to your short list of possible holiday stays. This rural pop-up site, 10 minutes’ drive from the market town of Llandeilo in Carmarthenshire, has spectacular views across the Black Mountains. Surrounded by tall pines and pastureland where sheep usually graze, it offers a simple outdoor experience for campers who are after space, scenery and minimal fuss over . Red Pines Ranch is a wild campsite, providing only the essentials: basic compost toilets and fresh running water. Remember to pack torches and batteries, along with a barbecue if you’re intending to be self-sufficient. There are no electric hook-ups and no busy infrastructure – just plenty of room between pitches so everyone can enjoy a quiet, uninterrupted stay close to nature. You’ll still find lots to do on site though. Numerous woodland and field walks start from the camping field, while cloudless evenings can be spent watching the sunset over the hills, listening to the surrounding wildlife – look out for the deer – and stargazing under the inky-black Carmarthenshire sky on cloudless nights.

Non-electric grass touring caravan pitch

Liked ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Relaxing Campsite With Plenty of Space
We recently stayed at Red Pines Ranch with our dog and had a fantastic time. One of the first things we noticed was how much space there is. The pitches are generously sized, so you never feel crowded or on top of other campers, which made for a really relaxing stay.
The site has a lovely, peaceful atmosphere and is ideal if you're looking to escape the noise and enjoy some downtime. Our dog loved having plenty of room to explore, and there are some great walks in the surrounding countryside right from the campsite.
The facilities were exceptionally clean throughout our stay, with the toilets always spotless and well maintained. It's clear that a lot of care and attention goes into keeping the site looking its best.
The owners were friendly and welcoming, taking the time to chat and make sure everyone was enjoying their stay. Little touches like this really make a difference and create a warm, personal feel.
Red Pines Ranch is the perfect place to unwind, enjoy the outdoors, and make the most of some peace and quiet. We left feeling refreshed and will definitely be returning with the dog for another stay. ⛺

A Wonderful Find That Deserves Far More Reviews!

We booked Red Pines Ranch despite there being only a limited number of reviews, and we're so glad we did. This campsite absolutely deserves far more recognition.

From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome, with the owners on site to greet us personally. And yes, we happily accepted the glass of prosecco on arrival – it would have been rude not to! It was such a thoughtful touch and a lovely start to our stay.

The site is incredibly peaceful and quiet, perfect for anyone looking to switch off and escape the stresses of everyday life.

We enjoyed long walks through the surrounding countryside and were lucky enough to spot deer, which made the experience even more special.

The facilities were spotless and well maintained, and it's clear the owners genuinely care about both their guests and the site itself.

We also had a look at the camp bar, which is due to open soon and looks like it will be a fantastic addition.

If you're looking for a peaceful camping getaway with beautiful surroundings and a warm, personal welcome, Red Pines Ranch is well worth a visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning.
