Electric optional gravel and hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: Loved the site plenty of room to play games and so laid back and relaxing.. Our pitch was really flat so no issues levelling and surprised to get water as well as electricity..No issues receiving wifi as there is a mask near by.. so we could watch our programmes with my sim Card. The toilet .shower block is simple .New and very clean and has a separate disability clean room. Met Dawn who was very friendly and helpful...Swiss valley reservour just 1.5 miles away.. up lane to the left and then1st right.. along a road.. which has 2 paths one tarmac for easy access the other rural so a more challenging walk.. took us 1.5 hrs to walk around and I'm old..

Disliked: Directions off M4 maybe bit more detail as we were looking for a484 but it was not signposted so ended up following satnav which took us up sleep narrow lane.. later found out if we had carried on in to Llanelli we would have picked up the a484 from the town.. .. and that route to the site is so much easier than the one we took..!!! But that was our error.. not the sites..
Farm yard seems a bit daunting when you arrive as lot of old vehicles.. but ignore as when you go around the corner the field makes the journey worthwhile.. there is loads of space to play and walk the dogs.. The ponies are adorable .. No shop o'r office but town is just a mile away with everything you need

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked: Lovely location with sea view. The field is well looked after. The toilets and showers are very clean. Only a few mins drive to the beach, but we walked along the coast path and took just under an hour. Easy to find.

Disliked: Nothing.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked: Lovely views in the picturesque countryside. Well looked after toilet block. Lovely cared for campsite field. Stayed for a night to introduce my 9 year old son to cramping. He enjoyed it and is happy to continue camping. I will visit again even if I'm solo camping.

Electric optional gravel and hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: The panoramic view over the town of Llanelli, the Wildlife & Wetlands, the estuary of the River Loughor and the Gower Peninsula.

Peaceful, quiet surroundings, with only a handful of other campers.

Level pitches, services within easy reach and good, clean amenities.

Disliked: Our fault - we only booked the one night and could have stayed for a week but the site was all booked up.

Local attractions

Exploring the Llanelli area is perhaps best done by bike – you can pedal up to the peaceful Lliedi Reservoirs (15 minutes' cycle) for a picnic before heading back to base, or make a day of it and continue on to the National Botanic Garden of Wales (an hour and 30 minutes by bike or half an hour by car), where those arriving on two wheels get a discount on the price of entry. Next, you might like to stretch your legs by heading to the Brecon Beacons (from 30 minutes' drive) – make sure to pack sensibly sturdy footwear if your plans involve top treks like the Ystradfellte Four Waterfalls Walk (an hour) or hikes around Carreg Cennen Castle (45 minutes). The national park is also home to less energetic attractions like the National Showcaves Centre for Wales (50 minutes) and the Brecon Mountain Railway (an hour). Yet another option would be to take a driving tour of the gorgeous Gower Peninsula (from 30 minutes) to soak up some of South Wales' best seascapes. The sweeping sands of Rhossili Bay (50 minutes) will probably be part of most itineraries, but for something a little different you could also head to the Swansea side of the peninsula for jetski safaris around Oxwich Bay (40 minutes).
