Electric grass motorhome pitch

Liked: Level grass pitches all the hook ups.. Clean functional toilets, quiet location...

Disliked: Only 2 toilets and showers (2 male 2 female) which was okay on our visit however there are about 35 pitches so these would struggle if the site was full..

Electric grass motorhome pitch

Liked: A peaceful location situated near a Laugharne

Disliked: Overall the campsite facilities ( toilets & showers were badly maintained if at all.The site was very uneven, on a slope , fortunately there was no rain as this would have caused problems with access and leaving the site. There seemed to be an abundance of electrical hooks which would have caused serious problems with the WC / showers if the site had more than ourselves on it.Overall the facilities were dirty shoddy. The camping is overpriced Essentially the site needs a thorough overhaul before being re listed.

From the manager: Thank you Mr Salmon for your comments, as you are expecting such a high standard of siting your camper van i would maybe in the future choose a site that has hard standing and maybe a pitch just for yourself, i find your comments to be very rude indeed, like many other sites we have been up against the weather and for you to assume about the sites electricity supply i can only assume you to not have enough going on in your life, just maybe to complain

Electric grass motorhome pitch

Liked: Friendly staff and large pitches. In a very quiet area. Nice large area to go and sit in which was heated, nice touch for a campsite so you can socialise with other campers.

Disliked: Toilets were out of use most of the weekend, we were lucky we could use our own but were told to take it home, no chemical waste disposal area or a place to dispose of waste water, when ask we were told to do it on the road. Due to toilets been blocked for over 24 hours we had no choice but to leave early. Food was ok but over priced.

Electric grass tent pitch

Liked: Large pitch and staff were pleasant

Disliked: Toilet block was out of use most of the weekend and decided to leave early due to this. Field was very water logged. Local pub was not really walking distance and no where to run the dog as dogs had to be on leads but this was ignored by most other campers. Prices at the bar were expensive and were cash only

Electric grass motorhome pitch

Liked: It was a great surprise to arrive and find a little bar, a lounge and a kitchen serving Sunday lunches! All hosted by really lovely people. So friendly and helpful.
It was a farm camping stop and the grass was neatly cut.
We are sorry we missed the Saturday night camp site entertainment.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike

Local attractions

Be sure to pack your swimming cossie for Nine Acres stays – Pendine Sands is a 10-minute drive from base and is fab for swimming, surfing, kayaking, paddleboarding as well as its sand-based strolling and its ocean views… and perhaps land speed record attempts too? Malcolm Campbell set a record on the seven-mile stretch in 1924, so make sure to stop in at the Museum of Speed to get yourself up to speed. If you’re after more slow-paced history, there’s plenty nearby you’ll want to tick off the list, starting with Llansteffan and Kidwelly castles and the Tudor Merchant’s House in Tenby (all about 40 minutes away), before slightly longer jaunts for historical yarns at the National Wool Museum and reliving your youth at the West Wales Museum of Childhood. Stick around Tenby to nab a berth on seal-spotting cruises, spend a few hours walking and talking with the animals at Manor Wildlife Park (just don't expect them to talk back), and potter around Folly Farm – or you could stay a little closer to home base for an animal-free but spectacular afternoon at the National Botanic Garden of Wales. Finish your break on a high note by making a beeline for the heady heights and adrenaline rides at Oakwood Theme Park, 40 minutes away.
