  • Peaceful Monmouthshire farm site with views of Brecon Beacons peaks
  • A five-minute drive to Raglan; 15 minutes to Monmouth
  • Five minutes' drive from a farm park
Those visions you have of waking up in the morning and looking out to see some spectacular scenery? Parc Y Deri Farm is a place that can certainly provide… At this Monmouthshire site, you’ll be greeted with views of the Sugar Loaf and Skirrid, with the Brecon Beacons forming a rather gorgeous backdrop. The rural site is a five-minute drive from Raglan (and the A40) so you’ll be assured of plenty of space while gazing up at the scenery. And plenty of peace, too – it's part of a family-run sheep and poultry farm so the majority of your neighbours are farm animals going about their daily business. Making the most of your setting should be pretty straightforward, whether you’re planning a gentle wander around the local farm park and Raglan Castle or setting off to the Brecon Beacons to get a closer look at the peaks. Pick up any supplies in Raglan (five minutes' drive) or Monmouth (15 minutes).

Liked Absolutely gorgeous site. Dave & Charlotte have created such a beautiful site with all the wild flowers, sunflowers & corn. They worked tirelessly to keep everything clean & tidy. Showers, bathrooms and washing up stations were all fab. And they are both so lovely! Thank you!

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Relaxed friendly host, flexible pitches that you can park your car next to as you just turn up and choose your own without the need to register your arrival with host. You'll see them about and may come over to say hi. Lots of space within a beautiful site of family run working farm. The toilets and showers are basic but cleaned regularly throughout the day.
Plenty of small shops a few minutes drive away but bigger stores like Aldi or Lidl you will have to head to Abergavenny or Monmouth which is about 20min drive away.
Definitely a hidden gem with a really relaxed feel, and appreciate the host to not make the whole place feel over crowded. Absolutely will come again.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Plenty of space even when it's quiet busy. No issues with noise what's so ever. Owner was very nice and friendly. The showers were hot so that was a pleasant surprise. Although I didn't need to use it the little shack where the communal fridge/freezer, drinks and ice creams was is a very good addition.

Disliked While the toilet and shower blocks did the job and well, if they where more permanent buildings it might have been nicer. One toilet wasn't bolted to the ground but that along with some lights may already be on the repair list and didn't become a big issue for me and my group but might to others.

Liked An idyllic countryside location surrounded by beautiful wildflowers and sunflowers! The little hut stocked with cold drinks and ice creams was a delightful touch, and the area was perfect for our dog, offering endless wonderful walks nearby. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked This was our first camping trip with our friends and kids and we really enjoyed it. The site was easy to find, you could pitch up where you wanted, no restrictions on how many tents/gazebos etc you could have. There was a lovely sunflower field you could walk too, and animals to see. Communal showers and toilets were kept clean, and there was a container where you could buy drinks ie coke, water etc. and also a fridge to store cold food and plenty of places to wash up. The owners came round a few times checking all is okay and checking the facilities wet clean, really friendly people. All in all we had a great trip and we will definitely return. Thanks!

Local attractions

If you’ve brought the kids along (or just fancy cooing over cute animals), head to Raglan Farm Park (five minutes’ drive) to take tractor rides and bottle feed lambs. While you’re in town, stop by at Raglan Castle to see a grand structure dating back to the 15th century. Scenic strolls and scrambles galore await over in the Brecon Beacons National Park (20 minutes). This gorgeous area of hills, mountains and waterfalls can cater for all styles of walker from those looking for simple circular routes to folk who fancy more challenging uphill ascents. There are other options too, like watersports at Llangorse Lake (45 minutes) and gentle pottering in the likes of Crickhowell (25 minutes). Turn east instead and more stunning scenery awaits: this is where the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty lies. Head to Symonds Yat (20 minutes) to hire canoes to paddle down the river or head to the Forest of Dean for its sculpture trail and Puzzlewood (both half an hour).
