Custard non-electric grass campervan or tent pitch (private bathroom amenities)

Liked We had a brilliant stay at Willow Acres – easily one of the best campsites we’ve visited in South Wales. The location is stunning, tucked away in peaceful countryside but still just a short drive from Pontypool and nearby attractions. It’s perfect if you want to switch off and enjoy a bit of nature.

The site is really well kept, with spacious pitches and plenty of room to relax. The pitches are perfect for small groups wanting to camp together. The facilities were spotless – the showers were hot, clean, and not coin-operated (always a bonus!). You can tell the owners really care, because everything feels thoughtfully laid out and looked after.

The owners themselves were incredibly friendly and helpful, giving us great local tips and making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. It’s that kind of personal touch that really makes a stay memorable.

If you’re looking for a quiet, clean and genuinely lovely place to camp, I can’t recommend Willow Acres enough. We’ll definitely be back.

From the manager: 🌼 Thank you so much for your kind words — what a lovely review!
We’re absolutely delighted that your stay on the Custard pitch was such a hit. It’s great to hear that the peaceful countryside setting gave you the chance to switch off and soak up nature, while still being close to everything South Wales has to offer.
We’re especially glad you appreciated the spacious layout and spotless facilities — we put a lot of care into keeping things clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged, so it’s wonderful to know that came through in your experience.
It was a real pleasure having you with us, and we’re so happy the personal touches made a difference. Helping guests feel welcome and relaxed is exactly what we aim for.
We’d love to welcome you back anytime for more quiet escapes and countryside adventures.
Warmest wishes,

Blue Bella non-electric grass tent or campervan pitch (private bathroom amenities, secluded, woodland)

Liked Blue bella pitch was outstanding. Private toilet and shower . Own kitchen area undercover. This pitch was basic back to nature feel. Our family had the best 2 night stay. Wish we'd booked longer. The scenery around the pitch and site was stunning . A short walk away the views are spectacular. This location has it all. Peaceful, relaxing beautiful. Words can not describe it. Customer service was excellent. This is now our best location and we will definitely be returning here for longer next time. I recommend walking shoes and waterproofs as the weather is unpredictable but this did not dampen our stay. Highly recommend this site it is friendly, peaceful, secluded and takes you back to nature.

From the manager: 🌲 Thank you so much for your beautiful review — and for sharing those stunning photos!
We’re absolutely thrilled that your family had such a memorable stay on Blue Bella. It’s one of our most secluded pitches, and we love that it gave you that “back to nature” experience while still offering the comfort of private facilities and a sheltered kitchen space.
Hearing that Willow Acres is now your favorite location truly means the world to us. We’re so glad the peaceful setting, spectacular views, and woodland charm made your stay special — even with a bit of unpredictable Welsh weather! (Great tip on the walking shoes and waterproofs, by the way. 😉)
It was a pleasure having you with us, of course, hope to se you again soon, Sharon

Curly non-electric grass tent pitch (private bathroom amenities)

Liked Private pitch with own kitchen and toilet and shower. Clean, firepit provided, owner comes around with wood. Hot water, shared fridge/freezer and charging points. Friendly owners, paths lit up at night. It was actually the best site we have been in our few years of camping.

Disliked Could do with more than one shelf of fridge space but we fit so not really a fault as at least there is a fridge!

Jill non-electric grass motorhome pitch (private bathroom amenities)

Liked Such a pretty little site with so many brilliant features. Individual toilets, showers and fire pit. Your own little kitchen space alongside bigger communal spaces and a little terrace for the last of the sun. Compost toilets are such a good idea and much nicer than a portaloo. Very friendly owners who come and say hello and check everything is to your linking.

Disliked Nothing really

From the manager: 🌞 Thank you so much for your lovely review!
We’re so glad you enjoyed your stay on Jill — it’s one of our favorite spots for soaking up those last rays of sunshine on the terrace! It’s great to hear that the private amenities, fire pit, and kitchen space made your stay comfortable, and we’re especially happy you appreciated the compost loos — we agree, they’re a much nicer (and greener!) alternative to a portaloo.
It was a pleasure to meet you and make sure everything was just right. We love connecting with guests and hearing how they’re settling in, so thank you for the kind words.
We’d be delighted to welcome you back anytime for more peaceful evenings and countryside charm.

Blue Bella non-electric grass tent or campervan pitch (private bathroom amenities, secluded, woodland)

Liked Pontypool
We have just had a three night stay at Willow Acres on the Blue Bella pitch. Absolutely loved the site - Blue Bella is a secluded, premium pitch and you really feel completely immersed in the Welsh Countryside and wildlife. The facilities on site are excellent - compost loo, hot shower and kitchen facilities including a gas hob with four burners. We had everything we needed and could have stayed for longer very comfortably.

John and Simon were excellent hosts. Simon called me on the morning of arrival to ensure all was well. John met us on arrival and showed us to our pitch. We managed to get ourselves locked out of our van and John came to our rescue lending us his phone to call The AA. Couldn’t do enough to help which we really appreciated.

The local area is stunning. Common land is available just a short walk up the hill where you are treated to wonderful views and vistas. There are plenty of activities nearby and places to visit.

We love this area of Wales and Willow Acres is a wonderful place to stay. We will definitely be back again!

We’re absolutely delighted that your stay on Blue Bella was such a memorable one. It’s one of our most secluded pitches, and we love that it gave you that deep connection to the Welsh countryside and wildlife. Hearing that you had everything you needed — and could’ve happily stayed longer — is music to our ears!
It was a pleasure welcoming you, and we’re so glad we could help out when the van decided to throw a curveball. We always aim to make sure guests feel supported and relaxed, even when the unexpected happens.
The local area really is something special, and we’re thrilled you got to explore the views, wild ponies, and peaceful trails nearby. We’d love to welcome you back anytime for more sunsets, bluebells, and campfire moments.
