What customers say

This is a well-maintained, quiet site in a peaceful countryside location, praised for its cleanliness and modern facilities. It's conveniently located for visiting Cardiff and Barry Island, with easy access to public transport and local amenities like pubs and a garden centre. Guests appreciated the choice of pitches, ease of check-in, and the friendly atmosphere, with many recommending it and intending to return. Some minor issues included temperamental showers and limited Wi-Fi.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked Perfect location to explore Glamorgan we went all over as the campsite isn’t down some long twisted road and the back of nowhere.
The facilities were excellent and the young man that came to clean the showers and do the bins should be commended.
We liked the find yourself a pitch approach and the chilled atmosphere. The pitch was very level and grass well kept and in excellent condition.
We will definitely be back.

Local attractions

The best way to explore your immediate surroundings is to head out on foot, taking in trails around Wenvoe Wood or heading off to Dinas Powys to see the ‘salmon leaps’ in the river and stop by at an ancient hill fort. Alternatively, head off to the National Trust’s Dyffryn Gardens (10 minutes’ drive/an hour’s walk) to stroll through a lovely outdoor space set up as a series of ‘outdoor rooms’, or St Fagans National Museum of History (10 minutes’ drive) for a free wander through an excellent open-air museum. You’re not far from the coast here, either, so keen walkers should also plan days out on nearby stretches of the Wales Coast Path. Llantwit Major (20 minutes) makes a good starting point for a walk taking in the sandstone cliffs of the Glamorgan Heritage Coast, or you could head to Ogmore-by-Sea (half an hour) to scramble through the dunes, see the ancient castle or ride horses along the beach. For many visitors, a day at Barry Island (10 minutes) has to be on the cards too – you can join Gavin and Stacey-themed tours here, try out all the rides at the funfair or just go along for sunbathing and swimming from the sandy beach.
