Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked: Clean, well kept pitches. Facilities clean and plenty of them. Very lovely welcome by the lady on reception (sorry didn't get her name) Secure automatic barriers without time restrictions for getting back to camp which helped a lot after post concert traffic issues! Benches dotted around.
Disliked: Only teeny tiny gripe was the external lights everywhere still on at night. Reception cabin lights on all night and brightly shining into the tent. Lights on top of all the power hook up points rather bright too. Maybe a timer system would solve this for future campers 😊

From the manager: Thank You, we have never had an issue with the lights disturbing people, perhaps I should have advised you to stick to a non electric pitch as there is no lighting on those pitches. The lighting around reception and bollards is dusk to Dawn ensuring people can use the facilities and move safely during the night.
Quiet tranquil site.

Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked: Beautiful peaceful area. Flat ground with basic amenities that were kept clean and tidy at all times. This is a place you come to relax and enjoy the wildlife. Ideal for people that want a quiet stay that can cater for themselves. Owner Eira very helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend for people in our age bracket. (40s). With only a small playing area for kids to make their own entertainment this may pose a problem for some. We however found it ideal
Disliked: An on-site shop would be lovely. Basic play area for kids.

From the manager: Thank You, as a small family run business it would be difficult to man a shop and the co-op is only 1.5 miles away open until 10pm.

Electric grass pitch
Liked: Pitch size was great, electric and water hookup worked well and quiet and tidy area. Nice to have a hot shower in the morning and Eira gave wonderful advice for the roads to go/which to avoid and local amenities and sights to see. Lovely to have the sheep so close and the scenery is beautiful. Our first night we had the whole camp area to ourselves so was lovely and quiet but safe, and booked a second night paid on the morning of original departure as we loved it so much. For first time campers we were really impressed and would advise others if staying in a tent to make sure you have ample sleeping comforts as the ground can be quite hard even on grass!

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked: Quiet, relaxing a choice of gravel and grass pitches, plenty of room between pitches. Water and electric on every post, with extra taps in between which is rare on many campsites.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked: A great site for exploring the area. The pitches were a good size and spaced out so even though it was pretty busy it didn't feel like it. The electric points are spread about so you need to make sure you have a long cable in case you are between 2 points. Excellent mobile coverage for streaming if that's your thing. Staff were very friendly and even though we made a mistake and hadn't actually booked our 3rd night were very polite about it. The facilities were very good and were kept very clean.

Electric grass pitch
Liked: Very welcoming, helpful and accommodating. The site was clean and quiet with everything we needed. The thoughtful extras (forgotten items like washing up liquid or amenities like hairdryer) available for a minimal cost were a nice touch. The pitch sizes were plenty big enough and larger than most we've been to. Recycling bins were nice to see.
Disliked: Not their fault but very little within walking distance such as food shops or places to eat.
