Mere steps away from 13th-century Chirk Castle, Lady Margaret's Park Experience Freedom Glamping is an upscale glamping village right on the border between Cheshire in England and Wrexham in Wales. The property covers more than five woodland acres, and there are 480 acres of grounds around the castle to explore on foot as well. Set in open parkland, the swish accommodation units all have a modern design as well as quality fixtures and fittings. Handy site facilities include a communal firepit – barbecues also allowed in your private garden – plus a disabled shower room and family washroom in the toilet block, a dishwashing area, laundry amenities and charging for electric cars. Younger guests will no doubt make good use of the play area, and dogs are welcome on site too; they have their own designated space as well as plenty of walks to choose from. Food-wise, try the cosy bistro at Chirk Castle or head to the town of Chirk, which is 15 minutes’ walk away with a choice of cafés, restaurants and small shops. You can also put your feet up in cosy pubs on the banks of the River Ceiriog or overlooking the Shropshire Union Canal.

Liked Well equipped. Very clean. Thoughtful layout and orientation of Safari Tent.

Disliked No oven. No BBQs allowed on site due to heatwave so cooking for 6 was a problem. No notification prior to arrival to inform us. WiFi useless.

Liked Excellent, very clean, everything you needed for cooking. Beds were very comfortable with lovely bedding.
Lovely outside decking area.

Liked We stayed in the superior cabin. Absolutely stunning, clean and has everything you need including full size dishwasher. Well presented. Everything placed perfectly. Will definitely be returning. We had everything we needed in the cabin though I did pop my head into the communal shower/toilet block which were equally impressive. Very clean with lots of facilities. This park has a kods playground too which my children loved. We had a great time.
