General
- Glamping pods with private hot tubs, 5 minutes' drive from the beach
- On a 24-acre smallholding with Snowdonia views from the grounds
- Underfloor heating, ensuite, wifi, TV and barbecues for all pods
With pods including underfloor heating, ensuites with power showers and well-equipped kitchenettes, Brynteg Glamping is a rather fancy spot for a hol in north Wales. And that's before gazes fall upon the private woodfired hot tubs and views over mighty Snowdonia in the distance…
The units on this 24-acre site in a smallholding on Anglesey are a 15-minute walk from the closest town of Brynteg and about 30 minutes from the nearest shops and supermarkets at Benllech. Bring your food haul back to your pod: each comes kitted out with a patio area with a gas barbecue (a covered barbecue shack is available for hire if rain tries to put a stop to grilling outdoors).
But fingers crossed the sun stays put as this part of the world is a haven for hikes, with the coastline of Anglesey and peaks of Snowdonia National Park close by. The aforementioned town of Benllech, leading to stellar sandy shores, is five minutes’ drive while Red Wharf Bay and Lligwy beach are both around 10 minutes away.
Back on the mainland down south, the edges of Snowdonia National Park – where there are treks for the intrepid and a train to the summit for those who like to laze – are half an hour’s drive. If scaling England and Wales’ highest mountain isn’t adventurous enough for the hardiest among us, this area is known as one of Britain’s adrenaline capitals with organised activities like ziplining at Zip World Fforest – where you can reach velocities of up to 100 miles per hour – a 55-minute drive.

Please set your satnav to Brynteg Glamping, as the postcode is not unique to the site.
The site should only be approached from the B5108 from Benllech, where there is a sign for Glan Gors Holiday Park. After passing the holiday park on your left the lane narrows and goes round a bend. The site entrance is on the right immediately after the next house.
Do not take any drive or track that is signed as private.
Local attractions
Split off from the rest of Wales by the Menai Strait, Anglesey has sandy beaches stretching on for miles, craggy cliffs, hidden coves and centuries-old castles.
Like the rest of the nation it also has mines: travel 20 minutes or so to see Parys Mountain, where quarrying for copper has led to colourful minerals being exposed, then make a dash 10 minutes further to Copper Kingdom Centre in Amlwch to dig into the area’s history of unearthing raw materials from the ground.
Sticking with the past, Beaumaris’ 12th-century castle and 18th-century prison (20 minutes) are fab for a visit – and the pretty pastel houses, gift shops and crab-fishing possibilities in this town make it worth the trip alone. Boat tours to Puffin Island with chances for seal spotting along the way leave from here too.
For ambles on solid ground, Newborough Forest and its sizable contingent of rare red squirrels is 40 minutes from the site.

We are glad that you liked the appearance of the domes and in deed the hot tub, which we had preheated for you at your request and despite the weather, and we are glad that you appear to like the design despite your later comments.
We accept that the sofa beds are small, they are sold as 4ft doubles, but because we consider them small so
we count them as singles, each unit has a king size bed (sleeps 2) and two separate identical sofabeds,(sleeps 1 so two in total) meaning the unit sleeps 4. We only supply bedding for the number of individuals listed on the booking, excluding infants, I can only assume that this is why you were confused, but the matter could easily have been resolved had you asked us.
The furniture is all moveable and most people adjust the location of the sofas and the angle of the TV to suit, particularly as the sun light can make viewing difficult in the summer. The WIFI signal is generally very good as it is fed from a fibre to the premises line, we are unaware of any issues but will check it out.
We are very proud to be located in area of outstanding natural beauty and a dark sky region, many guests come to admire the night sky this is why we actively seek to keep lighting safe but low.
With regard to unanswered messages, the only message I received during your stay was an early comment about noise, although the comment was before our noise cut off I still came out and spoke to the guest and had the music turned down as I was aware you were travelling with young children, I then knocked on your door to explain what I had done but got no reply, I am sorry if the attempt to deal with the matter personally was deemed rude, I do not like sending messages I would rather speak to a guest and I am not monitoring messages 24/7 but will happily take a call at anytime.
Our maintenance schedule is extensive as the units are very heavily booked between March and October, we have just commenced our Autumn review and any issues such as missing trims will be addressed over the coming weeks.
