  • Peaceful tourer site with Irish Sea views on a Gwynedd working farm
  • Five minutes’ drive from the Welsh Coast Path and Traeth Towyn beach
  • Well-maintained grass site with shops and a pub in five minutes’ drive
Sitting on a working farm with truly spectacular views over the northern coastline of the Llŷn Peninsula – you can spy Anglesey and the mountains of North Wales on the horizon – Gwynedd’s Pwllgoed Caravan Site is a magical spot for anyone looking for jaunts along the Wales Coast Path or wanting to run around on sandy beaches. Cyclists and walkers will be pleased to read that Pwllgoed is surrounded by quiet country lanes with wide verges, making them safe for family rambles and bike rides. The nearest sandy beach is Traeth Towyn (five minutes’ drive), and if you’re super lucky and super quiet when you visit, there’s a good chance of spotting seals and dolphins playing in the waves. The nearest essentials store is in the village of Tudweiliog (five minutes), and if you’re after a break from cooking, it’s also got a friendly family pub. Back at base camp, guests are in pole position for smashing sunsets over the Irish Sea on clear nights, and you’ll easily spot South Stack lighthouse on Anglesey after dusk. There are just a few touring pitches spread over a one-acre camping field, each with access to electric hook-ups, water taps, a washing-up area and recycling, as well as a toilet and shower block with a large family-sized shower room. Dogs are welcome, but please keep them under control as livestock grazes in the surrounding fields. They should be on a lead at all times when on site, and exercised away from the pitches.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Nice quiet site. Beautifully maintained grass and hard pitches. Probably the cleanest toilets and showers have been in
Welcome was warm and informative. Thought long about lack of Wi-Fi but do you know what nice to be away from it for a change. If you want quiet solitude this is the place to come it has all facilities for camping waste disposals of all types and washing up facilities
Lovely views nice sunsets clear skies for star gazing
Must mention Lion pub down road excellent pub food at reasonable price and also has a street food area for cheaper family meals eg burgers pizzas etc

Disliked Not so much dislike as need to know
The toilet doors are disconcerting as to let light in large frosted glass. Only got an eyeful once but he was close to door maybe blinds or strips to break up view?
Bigger sign on both sides of entrance and perhaps halfway up road to convince us sat nav is lying!! On the other hand one should read texts sent on day - my bad
Nothing for kids to do but at lion pub down road lots in village play areas by sound of it

Electric hardstanding motorhome pitch

Liked The views, the welcome (had a nice chat with the owner, we had the same dog a sprocker) 1 mile walk down a pretty lane to the Lion pub, 15 mins from Aberdaron where we took the dogs on the beach, few minutes to Nefyn and walked the coastal path and stopped for lunch at the Ty Coch Inn. Brand new toilets (x 2) and showers (x 2) outside sinks with hot water for washing pots, recycling bins

Disliked Nothing, would stay again
maybe a notice board with some suggestions and a map of the local area as phone coverage was minimal as you'd expect
I couldn't lock the shower doors (although my husband could) so they were very quick showers ha ha

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you very much for your kind review Carole, I'm so glad you had a nice stay with us and enjoyed the views from the site and the local area.
As the toilets and showers are brand new the doors need adjustments now and again especially in sunny weather, we have now adjusted them and should be working fine.

We hope to see you again in the future,
Diolch
