Liked: Ian was super helpful and friendly and worked so hard to keep everything going. Loved the location so easy to explore . Lovely friendly site the loos and showers are basic but had no problems with anything loved the chickens wandering about as did the children on site and the eggs were great . Used local bus and a taxi back from the rank by the station in Pwllheli was £6

Liked: It was nice that the tent pitches were all around the edge of the site leaving the middle for the kids to play in. All the kids made friends with each other and the parents all got together for drinks in the evening. A very sociable site.
Disliked: Could do with a washing up station. Had to wash plates in the bath.

Liked: We just had a fantastic few days at Ty Isaf. Ian was a brilliant host, really friendly and extremely accommodating, willing to go the extra mile. The site itself is brilliant value for money. It has working showers/washing and toilet facilities and there is more than enough for the site - even when full to capacity. What I would say is that these facilities are not the Ritz Carlton, but nor is it anything like Ritz Carlton prices - if you want the Ritz Carlton, perhaps don't go camping, or go and pay more at one of the sites that offer that. What Ty Isaf provides is a wonderful platform for a superb camping experience for the right amount of money. This is what camping and holidaying should be about in my opinion - giving you enough of the basics to make it your own holiday. The circular layout is brilliant for creating a community feel (if you want it - if not you can tuck yourself away in a corner too if you like) and we met some lovely people on site. It's got a brilliant central area perfect for the kids to run around play, and at night it is so lovely and quiet - and when you get a clear sky, sitting out and just relaxing - to be honest, it's one of the best places on Llyn I've been for it. It's perfect. It's also really handily placed for Pwllheli, the beaches of Abersoch, Porth Dinllean/Nefyn, Llanbedrog and even popping further afield to Criccieth/Porthmadog or Aberdaron if you fancy a mooch. In a bizarre way, not having much internet access on-site (although I know they are working on it) was even a positive for me as it kept me away from work and pretty much off my phone for the week - and it made a lovely change too. If you're addicted to your phone though you might have to be ready to go cold turkey!
Disliked: Coming home.

From the manager: the plan was to do a washing up station, but the guy the was supposed to be finishing the loo block caught covid , so that did get done either , couldn't find another tradesman at such short notice , but will have it done over the winter for next year
Shocking filthy and thrown together ! Drove on and drove off after 1 h

Liked: Lovely small family friendly site, ideal with young children. Plenty of space to play, chickens on site and a little stream to explore. Owner was welcoming and friendly. Facilities were fine, had everything we needed. Location was great as it was nice and quiet but only a short drive to shops and beaches. We would definitely book again.

Liked: Remote site, not over crowded, the owner was very responsive with issues that happened. We travelled with 3 other families and the site was perfect for what we needed.
Disliked: Unfortunately only 1 shower due to the shower breaking down on the first night. However the manager was proactively trying to resolve the issue.

From the manager: thanks for the review and understanding the shower problem , the plumber I used to set it up went into hospital, and it took a little while to find another , fortunately I found one at short notice and the problem was quickly resolved
