Peaceful, adults-only Swn Y Mor (that's Welsh for 'sound of the sea') is located in a dreamy location on the Llŷn Peninsula. With the pretty seaside town of Criccieth five minutes' drive to the east and Pwllheli’s harbour and seafront 10 minutes away to the west, this spot in the village of Chwilog makes a great base for exploring the Gwynedd coastline and the full length and breadth of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park. Most of the site is set over six and a half acres of well-maintained grass, with far-reaching views over the local countryside and plenty of greenery all around. Some pitches here are set aside for Caravan and Motorhome Club members only, so make sure you're booking the right one for your needs. Four-legged friends are welcome (as long as they're kept on a lead around any communal parts of the site), as are activities like setting up a barbecue. Another fab feature of this place is its duck pond, which is home to an island where you can relax and sip drinks in the evening. This coastal corner of Wales is hard to beat in terms of scenery, as both mountain and seaside views are pretty much guaranteed whichever way you're heading. Driving to the highest peaks of Eryri National Park will take you about half an hour or so by car, while the bridges to the pretty Isle of Anglesey can be reached within 35 minutes.

Liked Enclosure for dog was great, clean/tidy, great communication, friendly but left you in peace. Water, grey and toilet waste facilities, electric hook up. No toilet/shower block so you need to be self contained.

Disliked Fast road right outside the site- locals speed along this road but 40 yards maybe down the road is a cut through road to the main A road which does have a pavement. You can walk to local pub & beach through this route as it’s safer.

Liked Beautiful spot, just 20mins walk to a lovely beach.
Pitch was really big, and fenced in which was great for the dog.

Disliked There are no toilets or showers on site. We did know this when booking so they weren't expected. No Wi-Fi but there is 4g.

Liked Absolutely everything. On arrival very welcoming owner showed us to our pitch B - enclosed with a sea view. First time visiting and already planning when we can return. We loved the freedom it gave our dog. Very peaceful and quiet site.

Liked The grassed, fenced in pitch was perfect for us and our 2 dogs. The whole site was very clean and very well kept. Would definately go back.

Disliked Our only complaint was the weather was awful. It was teaming with rain and blowing a gale. But we can only blame mother nature for that! It would of been perfect with nice weather.

Liked We were met by Garry who helped me with a minor repair and was very knowledgeable and friendly.
The site was great we had a lovely pitch totally fenced. The dog was secure and able to have some freedom.
