Liked Pub on site to relaxing in the evenings. Catering van for food friday and Saturday night. Small lake which family could hire fishing equipment to spent time together.

Disliked It would be nice if they had a shop on site for essentials for people as the nearest shop is quiet a walk away if you have a drink the night before and can't use your car.
Food van to open daily (or more in school holidays) .

Fully-serviced grass tent or touring caravan pitch

Liked One of the friendliest sites I have visited. They make such an effort from lighting a bonfire every night, putting on 90’s themed nights.

I stayed there 10 years ago and Chris remembered me.

Disliked If I put anything here it would be really picky and not note worthy really.

Liked The site was lovely and clean. It was peaceful, quiet time by 11pm. We could have a camp fire and there was a fishing lake on site. The owners are responsive when messaged and they took the time to show us around the site when we arrived.

Disliked Nothing, we loved everything about this site.

Local attractions

Should you ever want to leave base camp, seaside Pwllheli (10 minutes’ drive) is the place for boat-mad folk. Here’s your chance to learn to sail a dinghy in Cardigan Bay, or take coastal cruises to spot seals, dolphins and seabirds. Back on dry land, kids can burn off energy in Dragon Raiders Paintball Park (15 minutes) or beat their personal best on go-karts at Glasfryn Parc (10 minutes). Adrenaline junkies, head to Blaenau Ffestiniog (45 minutes) to zoom over former slate mines by zip line, or test your nerve on via ferrata and seriously fast downhill mountain biking trails. If hiking is more your thing, Snowdonia National Park (30 minutes) has plenty of challenging trails, as well as easier routes suitable for all the family. For gentler pursuits, you can summit Snowdon in comfort on the Snowdon Mountain Railway (45 minutes). Or down on the coast, pretend you’re in a murder-mystery film at Italianate-style Portmeirion village (35 minutes), whose colourful streets and buildings once starred in 1960s cult classic ‘The Prisoner’.
