Electric grass tent or campervan pitch

Liked: Pitches were a good size and pretty level, staff were fantastic, facilities were good and clean, great location

Disliked: The shop on the site next door didn’t have a lot in it but Asda is 20 mins away so no biggie. Wi-Fi wasn’t great up the top field so the kids moaned about that but it was nice to be up there out of the way

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: What a wonderful find! A really immaculate site with a very relaxed feel. Very friendly greeting from Neil and Dawn. Thanks you two, you made our stay feel really personal and were so accommodating. We had a brilliant motorbike pitch, just by reception. Absolutely perfect for our doggy family member, who loved the neighbouring fields and walks. And then the beach. Wow! About a twenty minute beautiful walk down to one of the most glorious beaches were ever seen. Not crowded at all in June. Beats anywhere abroad. Perfect. Easy access also to Abersoch and other beaches nearby. We'll definitely be back. A perfect weekend.

Electric grass tent or campervan pitch

Liked: We received a really warm welcome from Dawn who checked us in really efficiently and gave lots of local area knowledge and details of walks from the site. The site is in a fantastic location for exploring the coastal path and nearby Abersoch which is around 40mins walk. All facilities were superb and so clean! Thank you Dawn and Neil for a fantastic stay at Cim Farm, we will be back again!

Non-electric grass tent or campervan pitch

Liked: Friendly welcome and spotless site. Some stunning walks straight from the site. Pitches are spacious and well organised and the ground is excellent . It is exposed to sw winds which are the prevailing ones. Be prepared to deal with wind when pitching and breaking down but great site .

Electric grass tent or campervan pitch

Liked: Loved our stay, the site was clean and tidy, there was plenty of space for games and there was a friendly atmosphere the whole time. The campsite is so close to a secluded beach.

Disliked: The dishwashing area was outside and not very sheltered.

Non-electric grass tent or campervan pitch

Liked: Very nice well organised site with views of the mountains. The owners are friendly and the toilets / showers (hot!) were nice and clean. We had plenty of space and the field was level. It's a great spot to base yourself in when exploring the peninsula. We didn't try the wifi but they do have it. It was nice and chilled after 10pm and our son had a ton of space to safely run about.

Disliked: It was extremely windy but obviously that's not the owners fault! Maybe not the place if winds are forecast and you're in a tent but otherwise it was lovely.

Local attractions

In the immediate surrounding area, there's Abersoch Golf Club (10 minutes' drive) if you fancy a game or two with sea views, plus top-rated local beaches for swimming, watersports and picnics like Porth Ceiriad (10 minutes) and Porth Neigwl (10 minutes), the second of which is renowned for its favourable surfing conditions. Many of these can be comfortably reached on foot via the Wales Coast Path. A little further along the peninsula, you'll come to Pwllheli, a harbour town with an attractive marina that's well worth a visit. Heading in the other direction, Criccieth Castle (30 minutes) has turrets and towers that are hard to beat – although Harlech's imposing coastal fortress (an hour) certainly gives it a run for its money. For more family-friendly days out, head to the pretty Italian-style coloured houses and cafés at Portmeirion (30 minutes), or venture out into Snowdonia National Park for mountain peaks, lakeside walks or to experience the zipwires, woodland rollercoasters and other exhilarating rides at Zip World Fforest near Betws-y-Coed (an hour and 15 minutes).
