Pitches on the site

  • Quiet coastal campsite on the spectacular Llŷn Peninsula
  • A 10-minute drive from Abersoch; Pwllheli 20 minutes
  • Views over Cardigan Bay and direct access to the Wales Coast Path
For a low-key coastal site on the Llŷn Peninsula with spectacular views over Cardigan Bay, have a look at Cim Farm Caravan Park. There's direct access to the Wales Coast Path here, making this spot a top stop-over site for walkers and backpackers, plus a circular walk on the farm for those who are settling down for longer spells. Dogs are welcome, but please keep them on a lead to avoid spooking the sheep and cows that live in the neighbouring fields. The farm is on the edge of the village of Bwlchtocyn and about a mile from a café and sandy Machroes beach. A short distance further along the coast is Abersoch (10 minutes' drive), where there's a golf club, surf shops, a sailing school and a supermarket. Facilities on site include well-maintained toilets, hot showers (handy to have after dips in the sea), a playground, a laundry room and a freezer for ice packs. This site is high up and open to the elements, meaning it has fantastic views over to the mountains of Snowdonia National Park and makes a great place to fly a kite. After 10pm, it's quiet time, and all music must be paused.

What customers say

This is a very clean and well-maintained campsite with friendly and helpful owners. It boasts stunning views and is conveniently located within walking distance of beautiful beaches and Abersoch. Facilities, including toilets and showers, are consistently praised for their cleanliness. Guests appreciate the spacious pitches and the peaceful atmosphere, particularly the 10 pm quiet time. Some minor points include occasional wind due to the elevated location and dated shower cubicles, though these are kept very clean.

Electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Beautiful site, exceptionally clean shower blocks. Lovely park and mostly friendly campers.

We had a very bad experience out first morning when a woman, after 7am shouted that we needed to stop shouting, and that we had been since 5am. I assume she was blaming us because we were up, but definitely not shouting as the kids were still asleep. Coffee in peace. IYKYK. We ended up leaving early just feeling really uncomfortable. Absolutely not a reflection on the site and wonderful lady who booked us in.

Poss would come again but not in the summer holidays

Disliked We did feel a bit hemmed in. There seemed to be a lot of pitches bunched up at the bottom of the field. Had we been before and known we'd have asked to be away from walkways due to one of our dogs being nervous. Our kids are neurodiverse and one especially really struggled with the close proximity of other tents and the noise. Obviously this isnt the campsites fault.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked The people who run this site are very friendly and go to lengths to make you welcome. We forgot our dogs toys and the Lady gave us Clyde the crocodile for Milly our Cocker Spaniel to play with. The toilets and showers are very clean, they are cleaned continuously through the day and are never closed as is the case on lots of sites. There is a circular walk from the site which traverses the Welsh Coastal walk, and Hellsmouth Beach where we saw Dolphins swimming is close by.

Disliked Nothing

Local attractions

In the immediate surrounding area, there's Abersoch Golf Club (10 minutes' drive) if you fancy a game or two with sea views, plus top-rated local beaches for swimming, watersports and picnics like Porth Ceiriad (10 minutes) and Porth Neigwl (10 minutes), the second of which is renowned for its favourable surfing conditions. Many of these can be comfortably reached on foot via the Wales Coast Path. A little further along the peninsula, you'll come to Pwllheli, a harbour town with an attractive marina that's well worth a visit. Heading in the other direction, Criccieth Castle (30 minutes) has turrets and towers that are hard to beat – although Harlech's imposing coastal fortress (an hour) certainly gives it a run for its money. For more family-friendly days out, head to the pretty Italian-style coloured houses and cafés at Portmeirion (30 minutes), or venture out into Snowdonia National Park for mountain peaks, lakeside walks or to experience the zipwires, woodland rollercoasters and other exhilarating rides at Zip World Fforest near Betws-y-Coed (an hour and 15 minutes).
