  • Friendly family-run Llŷn Peninsula site five minutes' drive from Nefyn
  • Tŷ Coch Inn 10 minutes' drive; 20 minutes to Pwllheli
  • Bar and play area on site, plus accessible bathrooms
There’s a real history at Parc Gwynus, a friendly Llŷn Peninsula site about five minutes’ drive from Nefyn. So much so, in fact, that you can still see visible remnants of a Bronze Age settlement here as well as a farmhouse that dates back to the mid-17th century. The family that now run the site also have quite the history – they’ve been here since 1936, passing the property down through the generations to the current owners. And you can see why they’d choose to settle in this peaceful spot and not leave: it’s surrounded by green views and looks out towards the Irish Sea in the background too. You can get to the village easily enough for a shop or a meal, and there are lots of great beaches, walks and historic attractions close by as well. And did you notice the views towards Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park? It’s about a half-hour drive away and packed with wonderful outdoor activities. The famed Tŷ Coch Inn, right on the beach, is about 10 minutes’ drive from here – but if you don’t fancy going that far for a drink it’s handy to know the site has its own little bar, serving up a range of drinks (including Welsh beers and spirits) and snacks. Other facilities on site include a play area, a launderette, a chemical disposal point and bathrooms with wheelchair-accessible facilities. It’s a pretty laidback place here, so feel free to bring your kids, dogs and pals along – along with all the bits you’ll need for campfire or barbecue evenings.

What customers say

This campsite is praised for its quiet location, friendly owners, and good value. Families appreciate the farm animals and play area. Facilities, including toilets and showers, are generally found to be clean. Some guests noted issues with the tent field's slope and the availability and cleanliness of certain toilet blocks. The on-site bar's opening times have caused disappointment for some visitors. Driving is recommended for accessing local amenities.

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked Friendly owners' nice little bar area with good choice and close links to all the main towns beaches.
Big enough park and reasonably priced

Disliked Need more signs up on the roads to identify entrance to park.
Kids who live on the park were bit noisy and kicking footballs n screaming on a trampoline all the time
Could do with another toilet shower block

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback. We will take your recommendation on board and have additional signs put up.

We don't have anyone living on site, but can appreciate that the park can get loud at times if we have many children on site, particularly on weekends.

Liked friendly welcome

Disliked Sat Nav took us to the wrong location, was told that there were four farms with the same postcode.
Site very tired.
Toilet block very basic

From the manager: Hi Nigel. We can only apologise for the sat nav error as all post codes around rural areas cover a large area. Our pinned location is on google maps and brings you directly to the correct address.

Electric optional grass and gravel touring pitch

Liked How peaceful the camp was, stayed Friday - Sunday on the field with the play area, The toilets on there are not as clean as the ones with the shower’s near the bar area though … woke up at 1am with the dog and could hear the bar area ,so glad we were at the other side of that as it was quiet noisy, owners seemed lovely and friendly

Disliked The small toilet block as mentioned before, didn’t try the laundry room .

From the manager: We're glad you enjoyed your stay, We are only a short drive (10minutes from Nefyn) where there is a local produce Spar or Llithfaen (under 5 minutes) has a small corner shop with a good supplies.

We close our bar at 10 pm, sorry if there was a loud group when you were with us, we were not made aware.

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked Great site, good location, staff were friendly and explained how things work very well around the site. Facilities were good too for a shower (warm water) and plenty of toilets dotted around the site.
